Then hold down CTRL and press a number on ur keyboard (forexample. CTRL + 5)

@supermetaknight64 To overwrite a command group, hold control then click the group the command centre is on.

To cycle through your units, click your control group, and hit tab. Tab cycles through the different unit types. After you select the Siege tanks, hit whatever key puts them into siege mode (Sorry I play zerg) and there you have it.

On the Mac it's Control. However, there is a setting I have turned on that will allow for all functions completed with usage of the 'Control' key to be used with the 'Command' key instead.

you should have the hotkeys showing - it's also a great way to learn them. It's in game options, gameplay? turn on hotkeys? and it shows each buttons hotkey down the bottom right of the screen.

Caster should have them on in this tutorial perhaps? HuskyStarcraft must have just forgotten.

If people find it hard to remember hotkeys, there is an option in the menu where you can toggle the hotkey to make it show it up in the corner of the icon.

@Zuphix True, forgot to add that once you deselected certain units, you need to hotkey remaining units (ctrl+digit). This is the way I unhotkey units and once you get used to it it takes like 2 seconds.

@TheLongo123 Not sure exactly to where to are referring in the video, but to have one probe make three gate ways in a row, you can hold down the shift key to 'que' actions. That way when the unit completes the first task it moves on immediately to the next task until all tasks are completed. This isnt limited to building structures, but instead can be used by workers/military/buildings (to an extent) to do multiple actions.
