Hi ! i had kalyway installed on my pc for a whil , but now i want to install windows xp again, when i insert the disk the install guid comes up and eferything works fine, but just before the install would begin, it comes a error message who sais: There is no harddrive on the computer... bla bla bla. any help ?

Pretty sure thats because your HDD is formated HFS+ which is a Mac format that can't be read by Windows. You'll have to format it within disk utility probably in Mac.

No you need to:

1)Defragment and move all vista files to the front of the hard drive (Use perfect disk 2008 trial to do this using smartplace feature on it)

2)Then create a new partition with windows disk manager or some other partition maker software

3) Boot from the disk and when it asks you which drive to install on click the new partition (NOT VISTA ONE OR IT WILL ERASE VISTA!)

Well it works with anything else like XP and linux but when I tried it for mac it was wanting me to reformat my drive to Mac Journaled which erases the whole drive so I had to re-install vista and delete kalyway (headphone jack didnt work on my compaq)

have you installed mac os x on a GUID or MBR (Master boot record) HD? Is it SATA? Try MBR, its not the default. You can reformat using Disk Utility.

I'am using wifi (802.11n), not ethernet. Here, ethernet worked out of the box. I'm using the linksys wmp300n pci card. check the hardware compatibility list on osx86 wiki.

but um i have tried to install it for a while more than 10 attempts i have tried all the kernels i can it either loops itself were it restarts, says something is wrong, and a quick glimpse of the apple logo and retarts. Kalyway is a custom made DVD with all the software you need to run Leopard on a PC. You can use the original DVD but it will be harder to configure.

It's fun to find your video. I just installed it onto my multi boot system yesterday. I have the asus p5b-e and I use 'bootit ng' to setup partitions and booting. So far I have xp, vista, ubuntu and now osx installed and working. OSX was much easier to install to the target partition than ubuntu. It's fun to be able to play with a Mac for the first time!

Mac OS X is installed on my hard drive, the dvd was in the drive to help me boot Mac OS. I was missing the boot loader at that time. Now it works without the DVD. You have to install Mac OS and format your drive to make it work. Its NOT A LIVE CD.

All mac application works great (iLife, Photoshop, Final Cut).

Using a legit copy of leopard is possible, but much harder since you need some PC drivers that are not present in the official DVD. There are some PC versions of Leopard, like for exemple: Kalyway.

I'm using Grub now, and it works. Grub is a bootloader.
