  • After watching the video in 2008 I purchased a white R3 in 2009. What a ride and outstanding climbing machine I couldn't be more pleased! Thanks for the recommendation and review Cyclo-CLUB!

  • Plush and stiff .... at the same time. Possible? Maybe not 'till this bike. Because that's what it is. Plush and stiff.

  • I just picked up one of these frames and he's is correct on all points. FAST, stiff, and comfortable.

  • possibly one of the best bikes ever made....

  • WOw that is a VERy flattering review! Together with it being my club's de facto bike of choice, I think my next upgrade will be a Cervelo! :D

  • easton fork and fsa seatback seat post are perfect for this frameset. better than 3t stuff.

  • plastic bikes are so soulless, this looks like a toy

  • i think carbons combi of lightness, stiffness and comfort cant be beaten, but carbon isnt strong as steel/ti as off-plane inpacts, so if you rarely crash then carbon is THE choice

  • So, Having a soul means more weight!

  • dude...it's not supposed to look good it's supposed to fly. Check out the Cervelo P4. All Cervelo bikes are built to be utilitarian and not flashy. Bash Felt. Not Cervelo.

  • Is that an Optic Nerve Halogyn sunglass that you're wearing in your rides?

  • I bought an R3 last year and believe the hype!!

It accelerates and climbs like a rocket AND is a comfy ride. I bought a marginaly smaller size than i need (52cm) because I wanted snappy handling, etc. The smaller size gives rise to two issues: Toe overlap (just have to be aware of it in tight slow speed turns) and clearance for 750ml bottles I had to use alloy cages rather than carbon!! big deal. If you can afford one - Buy one.

  • Awesome review. I love your passion.

  • This bike has had great reviews in the UK press. I would buy one if it fit me, but the top tube is too short. Thankfully the p3 now comes with 3t pro funda forks.

  • I just bought one, but had the same fitting problems; they were due to the fact that the model comes with the 3T doric seatpost in 2009 (with no setback), while it was delivered in the past with a set back seat post. So buy another seat post with set back: problem solved. (there must be lots of people with this problem in 2009!). I bought the FSA K-force SB25 seat post.

  • my current top-tube is 625mm horizontal, and my next one will be 615mm, so theres no way any cervelo will fit, which is a shame cos i like em

  • I hope they resolve the seatstay cracking issues
