  • just like to point out to others that i just upgraded my graphics card to a gtx 470 cause my old 9800 gt artifact ed and found that this mon only supports 1920x1200 on the HDMI port. dvi only goes to 1920x1080 with the right graphic driver. under windows 7. i don't use the 15pin d-sub analog ports anymore now so i don't have a clue how hi the res goes on that port.

  • Sorry but your audio is way too low

  • i dont hear anything you speaking.

  • btw the driver does not support VISTA 64bit or windows 7!! *please use windows built in generic lcd monitor driver (1920x1080 or 1920x1200) or games will not go to max res!!

  • @clamo636

You don't know what you're talking about, shut up

  • um yes I do dum ass! I own this monitor and the samsung driver is not compatible. even samsung says its not! in vista and windows 7 they say to use windows built in driver.

  • there are actually 3 versions to the 2493hm.

a newer 1 does not have built in speakers or HDMI and is about $250.00

another 1 has speakers, HDMI and USB ports on the stand. (not sure why they put them with?) and then this one.... speakers, HDMI.

*none of them have tv tuners!

that 2693hm is the same as this 1!! book is the same and the driver! (?)

  • Regarding the dust issue - you should see a glossy piano black monitor or tv set before cleaning day. The small amount of dust "shown" over your monitor's finishing would then seem insignificant.

  • Thank you for the excellent and thorough review..It help me decide which monitor to buy!

  • Thank you for the review and the rotating instructions. I just bought the 2693hm, which will be delivered tomorrow.
