  • LOL. Remember when I told you this almost made my friends cry? :'3 Bahaha.

I know I've already commented but I was watching this again and remembered, and then had to comment. x3

  • so wonderful. kinda soft. <3

  • beautiful work :)

  • What a fantastic video. A great start to your comback tour. I really loved one of the first scenes where you panned away from Simba to Pride Rock. From that moment on, I was in awe. :) Whenever I try to vid in After Effects it crashes. :(

A truly beautiful video, I hope to see more of you and your AE goodness soon.

  • also this video looks very good on my page with the still it has!! 8D And I also feel very special for seeing so many previews of this before it came out. ♥ Thank you for showing me. And you were wrong, btw. I was very impressed by this, no matter how simple it may seem to the eye. u.u so..hush up.

  • @KittyKraz13 LOL! I am happy it matches your page ( and thank youuuu for putting it there, Kels! ). I shall hush. Love youuu! <3

  • My turn to comment! 8D I love your movement. It's always the little things that catches my eye that makes me want to keep watching over and over again. A good example, I think, is the beginning scene where it panorams over to pride rock. I love how it's so peaceful and once the singer starts singing, pride rock stars appearing. You know what i mean?? XD And I also really love the zooms. God the movement in this is perfection T_T The contrast between scenes and memories and emotions (Cont-)

  • (-cont..)

all ties together so flawlessly. I think my favourite part though is Rafiki's painting of Simba. Dunno why, but that always gives me tingles XD That and I just ADORE the ending. ♥ Especially 1:56 - 1:58 with the painting and the antelopes. That, for some reason, seemed to flow together so well. XD I also loved the contrast of colours in the end between the red and the blue. 8) I love your use of scenes. ♥ Not to mention this song will always put me in a good mood. Just..wee, happy 8)

  • omg

normally I don't ever do 1080p but I thought "well for this I will, because christine takes such care for quality' and I DO NOT REGRET IT

What is this eye candy what is it

I love love love love what you are doing here with the landscaping - how a morose Simba travels back to the pridelands and then all this flashbacky boxes and emotion like when the stars parted to give way to Muffy's ghost and and how 3D and atmospheric you make everything with the subtle colouring have my amv babies T_T

  • @Keyinei

okay sorry. Time for a coherent comment now.

I love the clip cuts. beautiful imagery, too. Not to mention your transitions between parallel scenes. All so nicely juxtaposed ♥

And I love how you addressed the constant 'tinkling' sound in the background with the starry, space-timey texture. So dreamlike and innocent, moods (and matching colours) as simple and bright as a child's fantasy.

  • Near the end, I loved the clip with the last wildebeest leaping over Mufasa's body - I thought the ending would've been a good place to revisit some of the more raw and stark scenes, but I would've liked to see more of Mufasa's death there, just saying xD maybe even go back to the father/son moment they shared beneath the stars, instead of taking the simple route out of the movie's ending. Going back to Mufasa - or, hey, Rafiki? would've made it go full circle.

    Nevertheless, still, great work.

  • @Keyinei Those were actually some excellent suggestions ( regarding the scenes ), which I will keep in mind next time I make something like this. Thank you so much, Chris! Always looking forward to your comments. <3

  • @Keyinei

.... juxtaposed?? Seriously?? Good God :')

  • @KittyKraz13 Shh!! It's a good thing she said juxtaposed! I need a bigger vocabulary. XD

  • GOD Youtube is not showing any my subscriptions properly anymore!! -__-

... and now that I'm done complaining I shall watch 8)

  • So beautiful video!

    I love it!

    :D ^^ <3

  • I wish my laptop could read blu-ray...but I have a slim version and unfortunetly the portable dvd drives are only dvd and cd...oh well, I was amazed by the new blue effects, the text was really awesome and overlayed so well but most of all the event pan crop especially at 0:26 I really like the fact than rather overloading the video with the effects u tried something rather more original, ur use of the new blue reminds of Avatar kinda, and I'm glad that the focus is on Simba, Mufasa and Rafiki

  • Oh that gorgeous text glow was to die for!<3 I, too, had planned to see the Lion King in 3D this weekend but...that plan was shattered because of my friend XD Her parents are such losers. Anyhow, gah! I was so excited when I saw this video from you, that I actually squee'd (lolwhut) out loud. I was definitely not in the least disappointed; I agree that Rafiki needs more screen time :3 Him and Simba have a true friendship right there. I don't think it's half-asses at all, either. It's cute :')

  • Wow.. So beautiful! The 'panorama' of 0:24-0:34 blew my mind away!..

And every little detail was so perfect! Loved the union of the movie and the song, they fit amazingly good together!

And yay for Rafiki! :3 He's awesome, I agree - he needs more love!

  • Matter of fact you need to gimme details of this box set in a PM or something!

  • Yo WTF were those fancy zoomy scenes?? O_o is there a bunch of new features in the blu ray version wth xD now I want it -__- and now I wish I could edit even more -__- gonna cry.

  • @TotallySuperCoolAwsm .... It's the title screen. I'm so clever. :3

  • Love this, love, love, LOVE. Best Lion King video I've seen in a while. <3

Oh, and i just got back from seeing it in theaters. My childhood all over again. <3

  • not half assed at all.. It really beautiful..

  • How did you get the Blu ray box set already? I have to wait a few more painful weeks. :P

0:23 to 0:37 was some of the most impressive editing I'm seen in a while. I don't know how you did it, but my mouth was hanging open in amazement as how nicely it flowed and how beautiful it looked. As for the rest I loved the subtle effects throughout and adored the Rafiki parts. He's a more complex and interesting character than people give him credit for.

Amazing job, this really brightened my mood.

  • @KichaaSDL France had an early release ( September 4th, I believe ), so I imported it from there ( the box art is amazing, you should really check it out! ). I am so sorry to disappoint you about the scene though, but it will be a lot less impressive to you once you get the Blu-Ray yourself, that is actually the title-screen. XD - I saw it and thought I should try to be clever and ended up ripping it. So.. the actual effort was minimal, just a bit of out-of-the-box thinking. x)

  • @christinem2007

The box art is great, similar to the one I've ordered from amazon! Since I've already preordered mine though I might as well just wait I guess. And nah, I'm still impressed, that was incredibly cleaver of you. XD Out of the box thinking leads to awesome results like this. :)

  • CHRISTINE!

THIS. IS. AMAZING! It doesn't look half-assed at all! It's beautiful, really! <3 I love every second of it.

The text was absolutely beautiful and magical. *_* I couldn't take my eyes off the video. It's perfect, really :3

I feel like this comment isn't enough, but I don't have words for how awesome this is! D:

So...I'll just sum it up to; this is now my favourite video on youtube. :3
