we are just starting to get the WRATH of NOAA and the "Help the Ocean" brand of people who are bred by uninformed land lovers who NEVER will understand the need or the want for FRESH seafood, our community on the West Coast (Port Orford) is a town of just over a 1000 and we will be a GHOST town in no time if these Fines, Restrictions and RIDICULOUS rules aren't either lifted or at least talked about like civilized Human Beings, Fisherman are some of the most honest and understanding folks around

Shamefull, Its a disgrace fishermen all over the world are persecuted by these types of overpaid pen pushers in the governments, here in Ireland all other european boats with a serious fleet can come in and clean out our fishing and spawning grounds with their massive factory ships legally, and we cant because of quota restrictions on Irish fishermen! The day some logic rules the fishing industry will be a good day!

I wonder if the NOAA scientific oversight biologist comittee takes variable change into account in determining fish populations. At the start of recorded landings, in the 80's, the number of fishermen was astoundingly astronomical in comparrison to the number of fishermen today. The laws weren't as strict either. All their data comes from recorded landings if its even used. Fallacy anyone? Variable change isn't calculated in these cases!
