  • S u c k s L O L O(^-^)O

  • Really awsome!! lol

  • That is not music, just show off

  • Just going a bit crazy lol

  • cheese and rice. this is the 4th version of this video ive found on youtube. least number of hits though

  • its the kid from august rush all grown up!

  • WHAT MODEL IS HIS GUITAR? Larrivee-???

  • thats fuckin nuts

  • @CanadaGuy80 yeaaah... you be quiet

  • I can respect his playing ability, but I've never really enjoyed his music. It's too messy for my ears. I enjoy Antoine Dufour, Erik Mongrain, Don Ross, and the rest of them more.

  • this is bloody awsome!!!!

  • holy shit....

  • Someday, I swear to god, I am going to be able to play this song.

  • you are insane

  • Just watch his hand at 1:09 O.O

  • Yeah this video is insane. It was a while ago i last saw it though... :P

  • Woooooof!

  • To bennis123

he is playing a combination of fat estring fret 2 and 3 + b string fret 2 and 4.

  • impressive .. just nothing to listen to for more than two songs in a row ...

  • flaco, que carajo haces?? por diosss, terrrible.! muy bueno!

  • Holy shit this is a guitar and percussion solo at the same time :O

  • Could anybody help me out and tell me what he's doing with his right hand in the very fast part at 00:14?

  • He was tapping the strings

  • completement malade lol

    Il est bon en chien

  • my mind blows up...

  • Just wow.

  • somebody please what model larrivee is he playing with, ima buying it lol

  • Goodbye Erik Mongrain :D

  • @therealrockpresley you suck in comparison ^^

  • @GenyaArikado thanks buddy. i know i dont suck. i'm a session player in nashville playing with the best musicians in the world. the style that this man plays is his own, and obviously NOBODY can take it or copy it. i've always liked this style of playing, but it's not my cup of tea to play. i'm a country/jazz/rock player. so there is NO comparison. dumbass. that's like comparing brent mason to segovia. you're either just mad at the world and want to start shit, or you're 12. thanks.

  • @therealrockpresley I don't think you play with the best musicians in the world. Or else you wouldn't be this stupid. And i can still compare you. And show me proof that you're so much better then ? don't just talk horsepee dude...

  • @GenyaArikado i don't talk shit about what i do. you can only compare me with people that play like ME. that's a comparison. go look at my videos. that's proof enough dude. i work consistent week after week with the best of the best. i don't talk shit man, and i'm certainly not stupid. the only stupid thing we can do is to keep arguing over "crap". go check out my vids, that backs it up PLENTY enough. PLENTY. -ben

  • @therealrockpresley Okey, i can look at your videos. But you have to do me a favor and look at these japanese girl playing guitar..just search on youtube -> " HIZAKI grace project - Race wish (guitar solo) " And tell me what you think about it ?

Haha, okey, actually it isn't a girl. But if it was. Would you consider her good then ?

  • I wanna see somebody do this on RockBand or Guitar Hero

  • that would be really dumb......I'd love to see someone make real music instead of tapping four buttons

  • It's actually 5 buttons thank you. Haha . I can play this on real guitar but it would be fun to play in guitar hero. You don't always need to be making serious musical endeavors, it's ok to sit back and have a few drinks and play a game with some friends. :)

  • @rydogg86 beating all the extreme songs on guitar hero is probably much easier than doing this :P

  • Does anyone know the model of this guitar? i know its a larrivee

  • looks like the LV-03RE, but im not sure.

  • It looks like a jv-05. It was not a big seller.

  • absolutely great performance wtggg friend

  • 0:24 is the crash bandicoot music?????

  • Unbelievable !!!!!

  • I know a guy who can play this song, but Justin King is so much better

  • Demais!

  • Unbelieveable!!!! * * * * *

  • oujeaah, that's so nice. I like Justin King!!!!!!:)

  • muy virtuossoo eeee

  • WOW!!! TEACH ME. Where can i go to learn how to play even nearly as good as this??

I swear i started crying while he played. It was so beautiful. Love this guy!

  • lol u need to start from basics than work ur way up, not many places that teach you guitar tapping, people just make their own style. Good luck. It takes years to get to this level.

  • well I can play this... It was kinda easy to learn - hard to make it sound THAT good though.

  • i bet even hes wondering how he managed to play something this awesome..this guy is definately one of the top 10 guitarists alive

  • @bharathagain He's easily one of the 10 best playing guitars like these...I don't mean electric guitars.

  • Sooooo groovy

  • it's look so complicated but in fact it's not so hard to play - Listen to Viva la Vie by Peter Finger and try to play it - that's masterpiece. Anyway love acoustic stuff by Justin King!

  • It sounds as if you are defining what's a 'masterpiece' and what's not based on how hard it is to play... I thought we all agreed on that that's wrong?

  • :) i love this guy! he's an insperation! x x x

  • É O CÃO...PUTA MERDA

  • yes airtap is good pleic!^^

but i think that this video is the better one

    =)

  • not bad!^^

    very good!

    yes he's god!=)

  • its one of songs that only the person that wrote it can play it perfect. Its not hard for him because he wrote it, AND HES GOD!!!

  • What a spastic little fellow.

  • i saw this move a couple a years ago for the first time. Still i havent found anything like this one yet, NO movie out there on the internet has stunned me as much as this one did "Does"

    Simply amazing.

    A F*cking God ! !

  • try learning to play it... took me a year to master and i still cant play it like justin

  • there a quite some tapping acoustic guys around like micheal hedges or don ross. The funny thing is that justin always said he wasn't influenced by them and already used tapping before he ever heard of them.

  • yea, this is a good video but try 'airtap' by erik mongrain, maybe you'll like that one as well!

  • Wow!

  • how many and how often does this guy breaks strings do you think

  • like almost never, this guy got like 0.15 strings

  • he uses 013s( read it on a forum where he posted himself)

  • this video is fucking insane. that style of playing is hard to lear. ive tried a couple of times

  • @tinkeman1 It obviously takes more than a couple of times or even a couple of months to play like that.

  • i just pooped myself

  • hahaha esse cara é foda mesmo hahaha

  • Funky and awesome and skills. Spoonage in a word

  • This guys The spoonage

  • filha duma puta cadelona

    baranga desgraçada

    esse maluko é um FDP!!!!

S QUISE ME BANI DO YOUTUBE QUE SE FODA

    ESSE CARA MANDA MTOOOOO BEEEEMMM

    MTO FODA

    PALMAS PRA ELE

    CLAP!

  • It looks like it's an earlier LV-09 with one of their clear pick guards. I have an earlier D-03 with a clear pick guard. The newer models all show a tortoise-shell pick guard. In any case Larrivée makes several acoustics with cutaway bodies. They are not that unusual.

  • Do any Larrivee players happen to know what model he's using in this video?

  • on wiki it says hes using a custom model

  • so, anyone know what tuning hes in?? and whats this style called???

  • i think his tuning is Dsus. which is (from low to high string):

    DADGAD

and his style is called tapping. but in the middle when he is spinning his hand he himself says he wants to get in a little "flamenco" in there.

  • why did you say fuck u ? i think i didnt say anything wrong. but i guess you just woke up on the wrong side. bitch

  • i would call it a "fingerstyletapping" =).

learning this song now, almost got it right! just the 00:37 part thats need cleaning up, any tips?

  • he's great!

  • I think its deceptive though. This is one of easier songs he has.

  • Dude, that is like, inhuman. Its a godlike level of guitar playing.

Btw, the song is called, "Phunkdified"

  • knock on wood with a double neck acoustic guitar. watch that and you'll understand how awesome this guy is.

  • this guy is sick! i love this guy he's fucking awesome!

  • Its so damn cool...

I want to know the name of that song

  • Yeah its called "Phunkdified" and its definitely one of his more impressive songs. The studio version on Le Bleu is considerably slower, but this is just awesome.

  • WTF is that guy doing? hes ruining the credits!

    gr8 Credits BTW

  • haha you goof

  • Do you know where I can find the g-o-o-d tabs (or notes if exist :)) of this peace?

    Please, give me exactly url.

Nowadays, when services such as MySongBook are unaccessible google isn't enough any more :/.

  • dude dont even try

  • hahaa !

  • why not? its easy to play!

  • show us then

  • but can't record it.. It would be almost impossible to hear all the notes clear (because my guitar is a Perez, with nylon strings - and its not always loud enough to get on the record)..

  • excuses excuses

  • not true.. Besides its my fathers, and he is a very good guitarist!

  • well than he has a shit ass guitar, because most guitars, at least the ones that are worth the money come with steel strings already in place. you probably bought mexico's joke of a perez.

  • its actualy very good, and cost a lot

  • i bet you anything its two piece, and the only reason its expensive is because its a certain type of wood. (which doesn't make it a "good" guitar, some of the best toned guitars are around 500 dollars, thats not a whole lot for a guitar!) but i can't talk to someone who doesn't know what they are talking about.

  • this guitar cost over 1200$

  • Wood is VERY important in determining a guitar's value. I'd love to see your $500 guitar that has the "best tone" around because chances are, you own one. Nylon strings doesn't mean a guitar sucks; it might be a classical guitar, which requires immense finger dexterity to play as does any other guitar.

I wouldn't be insulting others if I were you because anybody who says wood doesn't determine a guitar's value and nylon string guitars suck clearly is uninformed...or just stupid.

  • when i said wood i meant like exotic types, and nylon strings do determine the tone.

  • Hey man.

"real guitarists dont use nylon strings you homo."

Really? Didn't Eric Clapton use them for the song "Tears in Heaven?" Last time I checked he's considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time. Hmm...

Chances are that the guy you're talking to has a classical guitar. Believe it or not, classical guitarists are "real guitarists" too. The fact that nylon strings don't produce much resonance when slapped on doesn't reflect the user's ability. No need to make assumptions, kid.

  • if u dont think exotic woods make guitars good, then you are HIGHLY mistaken. ever heard of koa? bubinga? blackwood? madagascar? im pretty sure u havent cuz u have no idea what a good guitar is. and have u even PLAYED a guitar OVER $500?? cuz u know, last i checked when a really good guitar is made, they're usually over $500. and playing nylon strings does not mean u are not a real guitarist. yngwie, paul gilbert, clapton, and a lot more have used nylon before. get your info right before u argue

  • You're such a fucking retard...

  • great contribution faggot.

  • Sorry kiddo, but it was pretty clear you weren't saying nylon strings are on beginner guitars.

"well than he has a shit ass guitar, because most guitars, at least the ones that are worth the money come with steel strings already in place."

For another thing, the type of wood is generally considered the most important factor in determining tone. Give a luthier good wood and you can be sure he'll follow up with everything else.

    Two words: you fail

  • hahahahah. ~ over 500 dollars ~ wow. 500 dollars~. some flemenco classical guitar cost even $25k. hah. yes. nylon strings too. sorry to disappoint you. seems like you dunno much. stop flaming ppl.

  • U are a faggot really, guitar with steel strings and guitars with nylon strings are completely different. Not even comparable. Jerk.

  • check out the tutorial on youtube, search : phunkdified tutorial

  • HE'S INCREDIBLE! he came to our school!

  • good game no regame

  • putin mec tro violeenntt

  • That guy is sick!

  • I was wondering....is there one sort of guitar better than other??? than I mean the brand!??!?

  • A great quality guitar is easier to play actually. No matter the brand.

But it's clear cheap guitars won't let you play Justin King's songs as you'd like to. :)

  • nobody cares whats easier, it just SOUNDS awesome

  • When we want to play it, yes we care about the guitar we play. ;)

  • yeah, try writing a song like this, yeah u cant do it. justin king is better than all u ppl, a guitar player that plays only other ppls songs and can play any song in the world is not better than a kid that writes his own punk rock songs. originality is above all.

  • well spoken, i couldn't agree more. music shouldn't be considered to be a sport, it's an art of expression. alot of people seem to miss that.

  • Actually, I'd say the tapping is the EASIEST part. Even if it's fast it's really simple technique but the rest of the song requires refinement over and over again. This is song is very easy to play, difficult to master and make sound good

  • The most difficult part of this tune is the ultra fast slapping he does. The fast strumming isn't too hard once you have the flamenco triplet technique down. The tapping is hard as shit though.

  • u are amazing !!!!!!

  • The only part in this song who are hard who starts att 00:38, the rest is just esey tapping, maybe it's hard on acoustic guitar but after 2-3 dayes it will be alot eseyer :P

  • The hard part is the tapping. The first two bits are easy, i learned both in half a day, about 3 hours nonstop playing and i got it perfect.

  • yeah right, the tapping is the easier part (if there was one). Try getting the rasgueado strum down...(and I doubt you got that down in half a day...)

  • Sorry but what do you call "rasgueado strum down" ? Is it a guitar technic in this song or another Justin's song ?

  • nah, the rasguado strum is the part where it looks like hes throwing his fingers at the strings.

Its hard as hell, and it hurts at first, you fingers may start to bleed...gross. Its middle finger down, thumb down, thumb up. (Repeat)

  • Hurts like hell at first yeah, I bruised and grazed my fingers initially. Still haven't got it perfect, once you've got past the hurting stage to get the timing and dynamics perfect is the trickiest part.

  • This guy is something else, he's in a whole league of his own!

  • dude wtf!your goood!!!

  • omg...wow

  • i perfer his instrumental stuff over his band stuff. he has to be one of the greatest acoustic guitarist alive!!!

  • damn. I gotta learn that song, so i can play it in 10x slow motion (as fast as I possibly can), and then practice for 13 years to get up to that speed

  • by far the best acoustic guitarist ive seen

  • watch some tommy emmanuel

  • I checked some out

    He's fuckin sick!

I can't say he's quite on this level though..

  • any tips on how to practice that crazy tremolo at 1.20?

  • thats not tremolo. its rasgeado, played with p - m - p

    (p= thumb, m= middlefinger)

  • i think its m-p-p. (down on middle finger, then directly afterwards on the same stroke with thumb, then upstroke with thumb, repeat 20 times a second)

  • any tips on how to practice to become that style of guitarist plz tell

  • Yeah, you just practice....a lot.

  • Isabelled is right. Down with middle finger, then down with thumb on the same stroke, up with thumb. Focus on rotating your wrist rather than moving your hand. You should practice the motion on your knee or something before you move onto the guitar.

  • Concerning that there's a lesson by Gabriela from Rodrigo y gabriela that you might enjoy, her on youtube somewhere just type Rodrigo y gabriela. They're on classic guitar though

  • j'adooore! ;-)

  • Bad.ass

  • Why does Justin look mexican in this clip?

  • because

  • lol when i first saw this clip i thought he was black.

  • i thought andy mckee was black the first time i saw the video for 'drifting'

  • i somewhat agree but also damn hes amazing

  • The part from 1:16 to 1:29 is a form of build up, to emphasise the sense of "relief" that follows with the tapped section. Kind of like an animal trapped in a cage and then being released

  • i guess i didn't realize that...i'm sorry.

i was just having a bad day because i'm struggling to learn a couple andy mckee songs.

  • Please post a video of how this song is "really" suppose to be...if not then STFU!

  • is kaki king related in anyway

  • No she isn't, not genetically or musically. Plus she's a sellout. :P

  • haha

  • hahaha nice analogy :P

  • You wouldnt be able to play it if you had the tabs so It isnt importand...

  • Actually I've seen the tabs and they're pretty dang incorrect. The best way to learn is by watching the video or by ear

  • Daaamn nice playing

  • Hey KingOfKings at least RamenRobot Tried you might be able to play better than him and there arnt many people out there who can play it -_-
