@1986feetman 1993. These cars were retired in the spring of 1993 because they had no air conditioning and the general overhaul program which began in 1985 was finally complete. In these colors, they ran mostly on the eastern division J, M and L lines, but spent their last 3 years almost exclusively on the C line.
The first car, 8408 was later featured in "Money Train" while 8397 (second car) appeared in "Die Hard 3".
