  • Elevator Crap wo weee jolly GIANT. LAME

  • Where was this in?

  • Pretty basic elevator. The doors are slow and the pump is VERY loud. The fixtures look pretty nice and I like the glass on the doors.

  • i have never seen an evans lift

  • Wow, loud pump.

  • Yes it is terribly loud. I'd love to film the motor room of this lift!

  • @harrihealey02 This elevators a classic

  • The buttons don't light up!

  • They probably did, especialy the lift coming and breakdown lights on the panel. I doubt they have been working for at least 20 years. Great comment!!

  • Not the nicest hospital elevator, but its pretty good.

  • That's true. This hospital is rarely used and the lifts are used around 10 times aday - not very often, but compared to the majour hospitals in central london this is quite normal age for the type of lifts we use in such old hospitals with non modernised lifts. Thanks for your opinion and comment :-)

  • Yes. Here at our hospital in Oklahoma City, the elevators are used atleast 100 times a day. But in small towns, usually 10 times.

  • Wow, well that's quite often. I think though the lifts in London Hospitals such as Kings Collage hospital has a new building to it and the elevators there are used every 2 minuites so probably 1200 times aday or more. It's always towns that the lifts are not used often, theres one in Hornchurch and Hardly anyone uses it so it looks new.

  • Well, to in Ardmore, Oklahoma, there is one hospital that has 12 workers and the elevators are used more then 60-70 times a day. I have cameras set up so I can count how many people come in.

  • Cool, that's a good way of counting the usage of the lifts. I wouldn't do that in this area as the staff are quite strickt and could take the camera. But I could do secretly, or stick a scencor counter on the side between the lift car doors and count them.

  • I Really dont Like this lift. That Sneezing sound really sounds like there was someone next to you sneezing but it sounds Like someone whispering something to Great Vid!

  • I think there was a ghost there, Mabey it was a ghost sneezing next to me. But I am getting a new camera for chrstmas and will film this lift again since I live so close to it. Well about a qautre of a mile away lol. Because I have filmed one of those orbs in that hospital in an old office at the back, my mum used to work here and a friend who worked there said she saw a man there and a was a ghost. That's why I belive there might have been a ghost there. Thanks for the comment :):):)

  • Ah Orbs, Most Likeley then. If You Go there again Turn the Flash on our camera on. This will show up any Orbs. Ive done this in Southend Hospital and i Got a Face!! Its really Creepey irl have to send it to you.

  • Wow, That's really cool!! I would love to see the photograph and I did have a photo on the London Underground Jubilie Line train between 2 carriages and I saved it to disk so i'll have to go serching for it :) And it's strange as there arm looks like it's going through the window of the carriages. But you'll see whan I send it.

  • Oh Great!! Irl Have to put this picture into a word file then Send it

  • Yes, is it ok if I send it by Skype? Or ould you prefere E-mail? Or another programe lol?

  • Yup, Irl Be Next On skype on Thursday Thanks

  • is this the one that hasn't been replaced?

  • I may have explained earlier but both Lifts are in the hospital and this was the one that has been there for over 20 years, The other was installed in the 90's

  • Also thanks for the comment :)

  • did u sneeze in this vid listen at 0:35

  • I heard that too, Thats probably some wres caught from behind the door panel detach from the lift. Or the wheels on the rails clicking. It's the characteristics of an old lift especialy an old hydraulic lift from the 50's

  • is this an hydraulic elevator ?

  • elevator fetish ???

  • Ok what does this refer to?

  • why are you so facinated by elevators?

  • I was recently in a lift in Manchester Airport, it was an Evans Elevator, must have been the original, T3 opened in 1989 and it looked around that kinda age. It was so slow, and when it came to level it just kept jumping quite noticabley until it reached the floor.

  • Evans elevators always make those sounds no matter what! I think it's the oil they use that dries up?

  • Well I am Nurse at this hospital, what do YOU WHAT harrods elevator...NHS....

    TAX PAYERS MONEY...

LESS SPENT ON NHS AND YOU WHAT MORE MONEY TO BE SPENT ON ELEVATORS.....

MANY Day&nights spend going up and down in that lift

  • So you work here? My mum does to. That's why I have lots of hospital lift videos, but do you think these lifts need upgrading? If you do buy a stannah lift because they are cheap but can carry up to 70 people (appaerntly).

  • woah this lift sure is scary, have you ever been to Russia? the flats have lifts the size of a shoe box and feel like they tip as you get in them - enough to make anyone have a panic attack especially when going to the top floor! ahh

  • well I haven't been to russia before but since they have realy small lifts why not view my kleeman elevator at roomes in upminster video! If it's any smaler than that then that must be small. and thanks for the comment :)

  • is it a hydraulic elevator or traction

  • This is a hydraulic, I can't imagine a traction to be this slow. Also, if you look throughthe window on floor 1 you can see the roof of the elevator and the horrible dusty old shaft, mabey next time i'll bring the torch and sow you the shaft?

  • Coo. when you press the button the lift bangs. a Bang on Demand Lift!

  • Yeah, It isn't supposed to bang wen you pre4ss the buttons lol, I guess it is so old the buttons break loos and when you press it it bangs against the light or back.

  • Once i got locket in an evans elavator at the same hospital

  • really, cool! you mean this hospital? I hate hospital elevators

  • i like hospitals with dover otis and schindler elevators in them if thier traction

  • So do I, I would hate it if I got stuck in this elevator because there is nobody in the hospital exept a few 2,3 people walk by every 10 minuites and the elevator might fall or something. thanks for the comment

  • Some one told me that old elavators (lifts) usaly have square buttons

  • I agree, I prefer round lighting buttons

  • Are you sure it's from 1995? It looks like its from the 70s or 80s

  • Well the Elevator it's self was around since when ummmm well it was on the certificate of use but I think it might of been installed in 1980s or something but I swear someone said it was installed in 1995 from the Reception

  • i checked Wikipedia on the date of the hospital. It dates from 1973. however it opened 1976. This lift is from the 1970s/1980s because the buttons are from the same era.

  • Thanks but the hospital opend in 1976 however the lift it self was indeed installed in the year 1995 because they have another lif at the back of the hospital in the main building so that is when the other lift was installed because the lift hear where i was recoring well on the 1st and 2nd floor there used to be offices there so there was no need for an elevator. but after about 19 years they installed another lift witch was that one.

  • i think the person from he reception meant the Block 3 Lift because it had the newer logo and those buttons wouldn't be allowed to be installed on new build lifts.

  • Your probably right and mabey you were right about the 1980s elevator installed in

  • Yea it really should not sound like that already. Nice vid.

  • I know , but usally Hospital and medical centres have old and broken elevators like this

  • Hospitals don't keep them well maintained

  • I know it's well used and probably in a year going to fall to the bottom of the shaft

  • It's sad how a 13-year old elevator doesn't work that well. It should last longer and work better than this.

  • Yes I believe that, but every elevator at a hospital are very old and not working properly

  • Unfortunately, I agree.

  • But why are they so dammaged? well mabey the manufacture were not so lucky at that point or mabey the place were it is set like the elevator shaft is probably damp and is rotting the system, you never know do you

  • 1st to view! Nice elevator!

  • Cool, I swear you always view my videos first,

Thanks, do you really mean nice elevator because it dosn't look nice

  • Interesting elevator, is what I mean when I say nice.

  • Ok lol I have read the other comments to lol
