All someone needs to hold is any two cards higher than an 8 and their odds of pairing higher than a pair of 8s is huge. Phil has no cause to be bitching for  simple call pre-flop. The flop can change everything and if Phil thinks his pair of 8s should have won before any cards came up, he is full of it.
