Kasumi has even stood up to her ultimate clone Alpha 152 and did a good job while doing it. Check DOA4 ending for Helena. As much as that she was also choosen to be the 13th leader of the Mugen Tenshin clan and she has ninja's over her (like Tifa did in this EVERYDAY because she is a runaway shinobi but yet she still has not gotten captured) Kasumi as well as everything else did a great job in DF2, i.e. she defended Ayane so she could cast ninpo. Kasumi even held her own against Tifa! SHE OWNS!

Now as for this Kasumi vs. Cloud madness it needs to stop and NO Kasumi did not make those clones of herself. Those are prototype clones made before her final clone Alpha 152 was made (Dead or Alive 2) In the game Kasumi even has a cutscene with her. Also Kasumi will not loose to Cloud or if so not go down without a fight. Do you know what she has accomplished. As far as killing Raidou a man that Ayane and Hayate couldn't defeat.

Personally, I thought beating the materia out of Tifa was awesome (no offense, I like Tifa) But Hitomi wasn't a master, she fired off a few magic bolts (that missed), it was her fists that did all the work.

Also for some reason I think Hitomi is going to help Tifa. She seemed kinda upset when Hayate appeared. Like it was a misunderstanding or something.

No, in fact, it's not because of the fans that the characters were over the top in AC and ACC, it's because it made the fights look really cool.

The last time they tried to stay to a realistic level we got "Spirits Within" and the end of Squaresoft.

It is more to avoid past mistakes. Not to mention, FFVII's limit breaks already show how over the top the character's really were. So, they didn't reinvent the characters for the movie either.
