  • 6:08 where are all those girls hiding?? wow

  • Great presentation mate, and I am taking you up on your advice about learning much more about real Australian history.

  • @milsimaustralia Let us know how you go

  • good work on firing up a lively discussion and shining light on/ provoking thought on crap that gets swept under the rug (:

  • My point is that we cant change the world, but only make do of what we have, we need to fix the problems and unify all people in Australia to one group. The world will never go back to what it was, the people who live now have no direct link to this past only that we live here. Would be like blaming Germans who were born in the 1980s for the holocaust. The global world is here to stay, Aboriginals have to join in to the global economy or their lives will get worse

  • The world is the world of empires, namely the Anglo Saxan empires of the commonwealth and the USA, Russia. Its a very hard line to draw where your beliefs can lie about this issue. It could be called natural evolution, but how would Australia be now if there were no colonists? Guranteed China or Japan, or some other European power would have taken the land for themselves at some point. Imagine if Australia was a German colony in WWII, now that would be some genocide there

  • I'm so happy that I live on a tiny island off the coast of Asia and don't have to deal with all this "Australian" bullshit. Watching Australia from the outside is very interesting indeed.

Loved the Bert Newton joke by the way, cracked me up!

  • happy the holocaust day

  • happy invasion day, where we donot give a sh*t about the native australian culture or their language and stole their land and now we like to tell other they cannot come to australia. Happy invasion day 2012

  • 40,000 years? Seriously? I guess Australia's Aborigines have our geographic isolation to thank for their continued existence.

  • Best video I have ever seen. People have there heads stuck up there arse so far they just don't get it do they I'm a proud Aussie and all my aboriginal friends are saying happy invasion day. Ha well they are to right and have every right to say that

  • 40,000 years for sure mate. (-: A couple of hundred years of bullshit is not much to celebrate. Good work on calling people their lack of understanding and respect for the "True Custodians" of the land.

  • @Hectorjohn73 but what do you celebrate then, which tribe? Without western science there would be no number of 40,000? Without western mediums this problem would never come to light

  • @maximumsplinter maybe celebrate the seasons? maybe celebrate freedom? maybe celebrate living in harmony with the earth for so long? I can dig what you're saying about having no numerical system. A people who took only according to need had no need for complex accounting.

  • Wow, This video opened my eyes....we as a nation really need to change...back...and make treason punishable by death…maybe then this great nation will slowly stop going down the shitter because of ‘do-gooders’ like yourself…take a good long look at yourself mate, you’re the reason there is no nationalism nor nation identity in Australia

  • @TheAlonecougar "no nationalism"... I wish! Maybe you should watch the video again as one of the main themes is about our nation's identity and how we should have our own instead of copying from other countries. Please try and pay attention this time... Struth!

  • @TheAlonecougar we are all brothers and sisters

  • @TheAlonecougar borders or national identity doesn't change that

  • Why don't you go ahead and just change the name of Australia? Because the Aborigine certainly didn't call it 'Australia', so it was probably a British name for the place, so if being tied in with the Brits is un-fucking Australian, you might wanna start thinking of a name.

You raised a few good points, but a lot of this was bullshit and disrespectful.

  • @ChillToThisSong It's Latin actually so maybe we should tie ourselves to the Italians?

  • @Yakovich Maybe so, but the point I'm trying to make is that your entire video about keeping an Australian identity is betrayed by the fact that, not being the only thing though, the natives that lived in what is now called Australia, didn't even call the place Australia.

Australia is pretty well known for taking many ASPECTS of other countries, and making them it's own, or simply taking/copying them, whatever you want to call it. Our Parliament system is an example.

  • @Yakovich lol

  • @ChillToThisSong actually no you are wrong and obviously dont understand how Europe works or ever did

  • @maximumsplinter Explain? I'm genuinely lost with your comment, not trying to be a smart ass or anything.

  • excellent video!

  • saying that our ancestors fought and died under the flag is a load of shit, the idea of "dying under the flag" is american as it can get. for example, look at the uncle sam (U.S) poster used to motivate american citizens to fight in the war, the american flag was printed on the mans hat whos pointing the finger, which instantly makes citizens feel guilty if they dont fight under their flag and countries sake. world war 1 and 2 in australia was not patriotic, but to be adventurous and courageous.

  • I'd rather be connected and affiliated with Britain than America...

  • @katelouise88 Why? Name one thing the Brits have done for us and not to us...

  • @Yakovich Well, because we are part of the British Commonwealth, I am able to use my qualification in any other Commonwealth countries, rather than having to go and do separate training if I wanted to work overseas. Not to mention consular assistance, visa-free 'short' visits, all the advantages of a constitutional monarchy with a full measure of independence and democratic freedom... what has America done for us apart from dumbing down and 'Americanising' our culture?

  • @katelouise88 I'm sure that the families of thousands killed in a century of fighting British wars or those who suffered from the British Atomic tests in Australia all thrilled to pieces that you have less visa hassles because of their sacrifice...

  • @Yakovich I have the utmost respect and condolences for those who have fallen and for the families of thousands killed for the sake of Britain. However, I overlooked this as I am thinking of common day and what affects our well-being and quality of life NOW, not in the past. My apologies, and yes you are very true about the injustice of those who died fighting not for Australia but for Britain.

  • say hello in australian? australian isnt even a language you dumb cunt

  • @riggypwnz Boy do I feel stupid... lol...

  • @riggypwnz Im sure he ment Aboriginal. It is a very good point though, a lot of us think Australia culture and history is only 200 years old, when in fact it is much older. 40,000 years.

  • Good vid but Australia day was created by English Aussies to celebrate the landing at botany bay so it's really about the last 200 years. Celebrate it how u want to if ure with friends and family that's all that matters ... Wouldn't hurt to learn a little about the native Aussies as well :-) Shame it will rain this year :-(

  • Flag's just a rag...Deal with it!

  • fuckin glass ya mate , fuck yea , like chk chk boom sheila

  • @cathari5 indecipherable gibberish. Can you get one of your ASIO co-workers to translate your comments for me?

  • @mikehill67 usually get that when ya pissed ,there was a "straya day" video on youtube , was pulled off because of copyright , hilarious , we should change the name to bogan day . my channels designed to be understood only by muslim supremacists who even misunderstand the koran , they get the point ,religion of peace my ass more like cult of evil , your not a muslim are you ?watch this video /watch?v=JQ-Mhnm7dC4 ---,australia please be careful

  • @cathari5 So cult of evil, or muslim supremacists misunderstand the koran (and therefore the intent of Islam). Which is it?

I'm not a religious person at all btw. How about yourself?

  • @mikehill67 agnostic , its both , muslims obviously misunderstand their stupid book when they commit murder in the name of their pedophile prophet , they claim its a religion of peace , but only if you submit to their religion and pay the jizya/tax and feel subdued , if you dont submit and dont pay jizya/tax then watch your ass . the intent of islam is to dominate the world and to subdue all non muslims , they think they are superior to all others , being the best of mankind

  • @cathari5 Sounds like a good working definition for Christianity. If, that is, you accept the straw man argument you put forth. The actions of fundamentalists (regardless of the colours they fly) aren't indicative of the followers of as movement as a whole. That's why we use the word fundamentalist. Are all Danish people crazy Templar wannabe summer camp mass murderers?

Were does your fervor for this come from? It can't just be laughing-stock garbage current affairs dross like Today Tonight?

  • @mikehill67 islam is not a race , like the danish are a race , it is an ideology invented by a psychopath who travel the desert countries 1500 odd years ago who came into contact with christians and jews , and saw a good way to control primitive tribal people and so invented islam . i dont go in for the mostly propaganda TT , and the aptly named ,The Project , and others , project upon the sheeple . i get my views from far more learned people on the subject of islam and its agenda of

  • @cathari5 well by free will Islam will be the biggest cult on earth that has ever existed, even bigger than the white christians cults of Christianity and Judaism that it copied. So is Islam evil because it is mostly believed in by arabs? Well it is the same as the bible basically, but you know I havent heard of any Islamic scholars covering up child abuse like the Church has on a mass scale. What countries have islam invaded? How can it be as dangerous as Catholicism, so unorganised

  • @maximumsplinter your right, their all mostly as bad as each other , u dont hear of abuse within islam because the scholars and imam`s DO cover it up , and cover it well , under threat of death to speak ill of islam , just ask any muslim who wishes to leave islam . the islamists have invaded country after country and killed or converted all who stood in their way , this history of islamic domination has also been hidden , Wiki , Armenian Genocide ,is where the word genocde comes

  • @cathari5 how do you know all this, if its a cover up?

  • @maximumsplinter also , for proof of their hatred and intentions , i suggest u subscribe to the Al Jazeera English ,youtube channel , read some of the comments left there by muslims , u will know them by their venomous and viciously anti jewish and christian comments they leave ,find one, then try to have a logical debate with one about where this hatred comes from and why , its in their ridiculous book to kill all non believers or subjugate them and force the payment of jizya

  • @cathari5 yes but I have seen this hate from Christians, its written down in history that western Europe the predominately christian peoples have been the most aggressive and violent through out time, the Chinese can rival. I can see some hatred for Israel, as the zionists invaded land of the palestinians with protection of the british empire. But there hatred of the average Jew and christian is very misguided. Doesnt the bible and Torah same the same thing

  • @maximumsplinter the Palestinians , you mean the fakeistinians , an invented race of arabs who claim ownership of isreal , blah blah , i am not defending jews or christians or bhuddists or hindu`s or atheists or eskimos etc etc i`m agnostic . i am pointing out a clear and present danger that threatens the entire world from nigeria to australia, this cult , or religion if thats what u want to call it , has an agenda ,it is world domination , its why we call them the islamonazi`s

  • @cathari5 ok so they didn’t invent the torah first or they didn’t write the race they invented into the old testament or other books claiming land through god, so yes in "religious law" the Zionists have right to this land because it says so in some book somewhere, it clearly states in the book they made up that this is their land, just like in colonial aristocracy law the British have legal claim to Australia, both considered by me to be absolute complete bullshit.

  • @maximumsplinter whatever , religion is just the opiate for the masses/sheeple , what i`m concerned with is what is right and what is wrong , religious fanaticism is a foolish endeavor at best , and at worst a violent threat my peace on earth , and yours , if you want to worship a stone that fell on the ground , fine but dont throw that stone at me , believe whatever u want to believe fine , educate yourself as to the real agenda of islam not what the globalist media want u tob

  • @cathari5 It is kind of interesting, I do kind of agree with your point that it is an international conspiracy to take over the world, well part of it. The west is using it, you think they pay rebels, mercenary, incite crime in every nation in the world to change perception of public, why wouldn’t they do it in Australia, US or Britain. They have motive, can pay agents to incite crime in Australia, cements our hatred against muslims and our public committing to wars against muslims.

  • @cathari5 who has rights to that land, the tribes that have lived there for ever, or some other people who were better at making up books that cover their own interests under law of god? There is no danger from Islam here, they are a minority religion, but you know there are thousands of different faiths here, mostly no one gives a shit. But its convenient for the media to label muslims, that way when they want an illegal invasion of muslim land for oil it seems ok to white christians

  • @maximumsplinter yes a minor religion now , thats how it has always started , its what they do , when they reach a cricical mass they begin demanding special rights as muslims , we are already seeing that , then they begin attacking non muslims , we are also seeing that , what started the cronulla riots ? special priviliges , they demand sharia law , when they dont get it , they practice it in secret in violation of australian law , they believe themselves to be above our laws

  • @cathari5 what about the biggest ethic group in the world? The Han Chinese, there are over 600,000 here, and the same or more in every other country. There is less muslims here than that and less than 2% of country. I am not worried about Han Chinese, neither if some muslim builds a temple, and we have freedom here of religion, anyone here can become muslim if they want. Have you heard of western cults (scientology etc and others) and how easy it is to leave once your in? Mason?

  • @maximumsplinter i dont see han chinese bombing and murdering any body in the name of islam , i dont beleive in any bullshit religion , anybody who tries to shovel their shit on free people , will be met with serious opposition in australia ,

  • @cathari5 you do know also that muslims pray to abraham at Mecca? the original founder of monotheism, you also would know that the religions are actually pretty well the same thing. The difference, muslims see Jesus as a profit not the son of god and that mohammed is the last and final prophet. So really they are really still another cult of Jews.

  • @maximumsplinter they prey to a black stone in a box at mecca , wtf , Mo adopted the jewish and christian beleif system and made it his own , saying your a prophet doesnt make it fckn so , so he killed all who opposed him , way to go Mo , yes i know all that propaganda they spew out , jesus was really a muslim but didnt know it , abraham was a prophet of islam but didnt know it , islam was an invented "religion" by a very clever child molesting psychopath and thats all he was

  • @cathari5 ok and Christians prey to some Nazi paedophile who wears enough gold to buy a small country. Well yes of course Abraham is a prophet of islam, and Judaism and Christianity, no muslim is going to deny that. When was the muslim crusade and sacking of London? Paris? Berlin? Rome? The Vatican? New York? Chicago? Sorry but you spew hate like a brainwashed cristian and are trying to place yourself above people who you say do the same?

  • @maximumsplinter well no , your wrong , Abraham is not a prophet of islam , if he existed at all , he was a prophet a judaism , jesus was , if he existed at all , the messiah that the jews prophesied about , the pedophile prophet 500 years later then claims them as muslims and prophets of islam ,rippoff , what a joke . and your sounding like a muslim , or an islamic apologist . furthermore , didnt the muslims side with the Nazi`s in WW2 , i hate only murdering GODites

  • @cathari5 I dont know, there was brittish and Americans who did as well so I am not sure, probably were some muslims as well as many members of the vatican collaborating with the Nazis, plus the French, the Italians and fuck loads more. Well yeah I would say he invented monotheism, so anyone who believes in what he says can say he is a prophet chosen by god. Christian, muslim or Jew or anyone its irrelevant. I am no muslim, or Christian or Jew

  • @cathari5 anyway so the globalist media want everyone to believe that they are evil? This is what you are saying, so where is the contradiction?

  • @maximumsplinter globalist media can spew whatever bullshit they like , the sheep will follow , muslims have an agenda for world domination , it will fail , they are being used by something far more evil , far more wicked and despicable than even Mo and his ignorant followers could dream up . lets not go there , its friday night and its time to get my bogan on , hehe , nice chat , Robert Spencer`s book "the complete infidels guide to the koran" your a Dhimmi too , so get wise

  • @maximumsplinter you havent addressed the issue of the armenian genocide yet , and yet u attack by asking when did muslims crusade against london , rome , paris berlin , new york , the vatican . lets see ,didnt some bombs go of in london ,new york , madrid and numerous others , yet u ignore these attacks/crusade by muslims who obviously misunderstand the "mein koran " ,the so called book of peace , 18352 muslim terrorist attacks since 911 , sounds like a crusade to me

  • @cathari5 lol have you heard of OIL, GAS, do you have any idea of the last 150 years of history in the middle east/central asia? Ok I think not. So the muslim guys in the US army are they on crusade as well, helping the christians steal the oil and install another dictator?

  • @maximumsplinter yea yea all that , but what we gonna do ? heres a link for u to watch of robert spencer when he was in AUS just a month or so ago doing a talking tour ,the guys plugged in on all things islam , copy/paste watch?v=z5H9RSWU2BI

  • @mikehill67 global domination , such as Robert Spencer and his book The Complete Infidels Guide to the Koran , very good ,also Pamella Geller ,and the numerous websites that illuminate the truth of jihad and its cancerous spread throughout the western world . website such as Atlas shrugs ,Q Society of Australia , jihad watch , The Peace FAQ, . Bare Naked Islam is another . we could go on and on about who right and who`s wrong , i know evil when i see it , and it must be stopped

  • @cathari5 sounds like someone copied Christians, made a better version and now the Christians are angry as the dominance of their cult is in question as its fading into extintion. Should we have another crusade to the middle east and kill people in the name of the paedophile pope who falsely sits in and claims the throne of Jesus as his own? No its ok, there is one happening now, the zionist are in full swing

  • Totally agree with you mate.

  • Ugh....clueless. Get with the times mate, the world has to change, we're not going to be stuck in the 70's for ever.

  • Will lol at all the Aboriginal remarks that will be posted once this hits the social networks. I'm Palawa Aboriginal, Northern Tasmanian people via the Cape Baron/Flinders Island removed and found this to be extremely entertaining. You're a legend mate. Keep at it. And lol at Bert being in the timeline

  • Loved the Bert Newtown joke.

  • Hey Yakovich, I really enjoyed your video, you bring up some really good points, everyone in australia should see this, thanks for creating this :)

  • so true americanism should be band

  • Aussie pride... The raising of the union jack on our soil marked the beginning of suffering, genocide, disease, hopeless mismanagement. I have no pride in the union jack, though I don't want it gone either. The history of the human race and our spread across the planet is violent and greedy and bigoted. It was always going to be this way. I am grateful for those who fought to maintain the growing worldwide trend away from brutal oppressions. The union jack is what it is. It should stay.

  • keep the union jack. our families died under that flag it would be un australian to change it

  • @sten52 The chances are they wouldn't have died if they weren't under it so it would be stupid not to change it...

  • @Yakovich The Union Jack - (the butchers apron) It's cruel, imperialist and a disgusting stain on our flag. We Australians should remember when we all united underneath the Eureka flag against the crown. Men from many different backgrounds united. If we all could find that solidarity again we would all be better off. Change the flag

  • @sten52 >"un australian"

    Your argument is invalid.

  • @sten52 No, they died for Freedom and for their Nations.

  • @sten52 im sick of people going on about people "going to war for the flag" and other stupid shit of that nature. they went to war for their families and friends and the greater community not a bit of blue cloth.

  • @sten52 family died for the country mate, not the flag

  • @sten52 Let's put the Aboriginal flag where the union jack is on the current Australian flag. Then I might feel patriotic about waving it.

  • @ltkenno dick head

  • Nice to hear another point of view but I disagree and I certainly glad that I dont know a lick of Aboriginal. For me the best thing that ever happen to Australia was England landing other wise Australia as we know it would be Africa on speed and I would be stuck in the UK.

  • @gingerbeer10101 Sure you're not on speed?

  • Nice crack at our British heritage - very Australian. I hope you have a good view from your pedestal, wanker!

  • @ritchguy I don't think I'm perched on a pedestal but I have managed to wipe the misguided sentiment from my eyes. Please tell me what have we ever received from Great Britain in return for our unquestioning loyalty. As far as I can tell we've been nothing but a dumping ground and a source of cannon fodder for them. I can't think of one thing they've done for us out of selflessness... Can you?

  • lol bert newton born 20 000 bc 5:00

  • I agree with most of it except the part about ditching the queen. I reckon having a foreign bird who doesn't give a shit as head of state is better than a president elected by locals. If she ever does have to step in, she has less vested interest in the outcome of any dispute so is more likely to be impartial.

  • @MaxLittlemore That is a really valid point which I've never considered before. We have a flashy head of state who runs around in diamonds and luxury. Whose family entertains us more than the Kardashians and it doesn't cost us here in Oz a cent!

  • Cool Video....true tho seriously unkowledgable, its sad, how has this even come about? Go and ask a group of Australians why they wear green and gold? Why do you have six points on your stars and not five? Green is grass and yellow is the sand. Um, no. Interesting perspective as the only reason I know these answers is because I am a teacher ! Shocking.

  • @jaayy28 You must confuse the fuck out of your students as I can't work out if you're having a go at me or not!

  • @jaayy28 six points on the stars? I always thought it was seven, one for each state and one for the territories/federation. Except of course Epsilon Crucis which has five points...

  • @MaxLittlemore Your right every star represents every state but only the Northern terrority and not the ACT is represented on the flag. Im happy with this flag as every man and his dog has grwon up with it leave it alone

  • I bet the aboriginals like this video, lol.

  • I dont think there is anything wrong with flying the Aussie flag anytime. Ive got one at my front door every day of the year. i'll wear aussie flag (as in a top) if i want or show im proud 2 b aussie anyway i choose. It is not wrong 2 show ur proud. I think sometimes, u just gotta do it 2 show forigners that this is Australia not the country they came from n mosques etc r not a part of Australia etc. Remind them that they came 2 our land therefore should fit in with us.

  • My long lost sunburnt country Has been terribly betrayed Now a land of Mosques and Gum trees Not the place where I once played The sight of foreign Temples Of eyesores everywhere Of covered women’s faces Confront me where I stare What's happened to my country Why does it look this way It's losing it's identity I see it every day Ugly Foreign temples Offensive to my eye How did we let this happen We've let her image die
  • People who enjoy waving flags don't deserve to have one.

  • @jimmy12312322 Probably the stupidest thing I've read.

  • stupid video.

  • AWESOME VIDEO , LOVED IT !!!!! Thought I'd look you up seen your up in Brizvegas with me mate FAB . Have a great nite out with him , bugger I can't make it . Too many other functions on this week . Cheers ( that dill angryzombie79 mustn't understand us True blue Aussie's , his loss not our , bless the poor kid )

  • @veeniecase Lol! I was not only overwhelmed by the lack of attendance but also amused that the three extra that did make it had no idea who I was. Still had a laugh though...

  • is that corner shop in bridgewater?????

  • @zisi567 I have no idea

  • Judging by the comments here, you've really touched a nerve with this video. It seems that many Australians are satisfied to accept the U.S. providing a proxy culture for 364 days of the year, before engaging in flag waving on Australia Day as a means of getting back in touch with and proving their 'Australian-ness'. People demonstrate their pride in a different ways; although it does seem that flag waving is becoming the popular way of doing so. I guess there are worse bandwagons to jump on...

  • @andressy182

You know whats not australian? Bitching about shit and being a fucking whinger. Both my ex-servicemen grandfathers raised the flag every morning and ESPESCIALLY on australia day. Were they copying americans? NO. They had PRIDE in their homeland. Are you saying they were copying yanks? FUCK YOU. Because the americans have pride in thier country we shouldnt? Dumbass. And complaining about kids trick or treating , REALLY? LoO? Its great fun for kids.

  • @angryzombie79 There was no bitching or whingeing in my post. I was simply making an observation. There's a difference between a tradition of raising the Australian flag every morning in remembrance of serving the nation (pride) and people wrapping themselves in the flag for one day of the year, because everyone else seems to be doing it (nationalism). Australians have always raised the flag with pride on occasions such as Anzac Day, Australia Day, Remembrance Day. Flag-waving seems more recent

  • Um mate, I like Australia the way it is today so why don't you go complain to someone who actually gives a shit? I am pretty sure back in the old days of the country people used to show their real faces while trying to make a point instead of hiding behind a cartoon character too.

  • @6636JB Lol... I love how you have a go at me for not showing my "real face" when you yourself haven't posted a video and you haven't even got a profile picture! Do us a favour and Google "hypocrite" ...

  • @Yakovich I am not getting annoyed because you haven't got a profile picture or anything, I am annoyed that you are looking down on our society and its traditions and you are using a cartoon character to hide behind. The reason why I haven't got a profile picture is because of identity theft...

  • @6636JB I think you've got arse about mate. I'm trying to uphold our society and traditions instead of sitting back and watching our young Aussies imitate Americans and adopting American style patriotism. I mean shit! Now I've even got youngens knocking on my door saying trick or treat!

  • @Yakovich Well can I ask you what is more Australian than wearing an Australian flag? Australia Day is a day made to celebrate being Australian so why not show it off by wearing the national flag? Every country does it, go to the olympics and chances are most Australians will be wearing flags. It isn't just America that does it. And the kids going trick or treating only do it because it is fun. Australia is turning more into Asia than America.

  • I find this highly offensive

  • P.S I do agree with the bullshit on our TV's though , and the kids acting like gangsters (idiots). On this at least we can agree. BUT how can you condemn us being proud of who we are by waving our flag, YET STILL want us to maintain our identity? Also what you said about immigrants is kinda true, but the problem is MANY arent becoming Australian. They are becoming an Afghan living in Australia or whatever.

  • This dude Yakovich is just another left wing progressive (or to the rest of us, an idiot) . What is wrong with pride in your country? WHAT is wrong with waving our flag? THIS is a free land and if we want to be proud of who we are that is our right. Take your anti US sentiments and move to cuba. Newsflash........we owe America a lot, and your Soviet masters have since fallen. IF we want to celebrate being Australian (heaven forbid) on this day, and you dont like it. FUCK RIGHT OFF THEN MATE.

  • @angryzombie79 Left wing? So that's why I keep flying in circles!

  • @angryzombie79 I think you might have missed the guts of what he was saying -- i don't think he is saying DONT be pound - just remember that some things about australian do and should make us feel shame - but MORE importantly he is saying be proud of ALL of australia -- and we don't know all of it then we should and can find out -- there is LOTS to feel proud about and indiginous people and culture should be one thing we all know about and feel pride in

  • you can blame imigration and the gov for the shit that australia has become

  • @rapid303 Currently we rank 1st in the world for median wealth per person and 2nd in the world as the best country to live in so thank you immigrants and Government!

  • good job mate...would of liked some more historic events behind the actual Australia day rather then ideological debates but you made good points,,,well done.

  • @MezmaRhymes That's the point. I loved it when we had no idea what we were celebrating... Now that's Australian!

  • Bert Newton born 20,000 B.C HAHAHAHA

  • VERY AUSTRALIAN WAP NOW !

    HAPPY CONQUEST DAY!

  • QUESTION TO COMMENTS SAYING YAKOVICH IS RACIST FOR THIS VID. Q: How does making the time to REALLY learn about your country and beginnings make you racist? It's all about identity and these days most Aussies are sheep when it comes to this debate.

  • GOD ur stupid. Australians SHOULD be patriotic, because they are THE BEST!

  • This guy is blaming America for people wanting to fly their flag. Well than you can blame us for that making Australians patriotic for their nation. WTF really why are you bitching calm down

  • @cwood4ever There's no attaching blame to America mate, try not to be so defensive. The video clearly states that Australians are copying Americans.

  • I've never understood the flag waving = patriotism thing. By that logic a loyalist estate in Northern Ireland would be the most patriotic part of the Country. However, no amount of looking stoic at the sound of the national theme tune is going to make up for the fact that you hate half the population. It's worse in England, patriotism has been replaced by living vicariously through a bunch of illiterate troglodytes, otherwise known as the English football team.

  • oh my god. bloody fantastic. I actually feel remotely patriotic for one of the first times in my life, because an Australian posted this

  • Australia, love ya but as a pom this guy's bang on the money. I mean we appreciate you keeping the flag and the Queen and all, but really we don't mind if you let go. And please don't jump into bed with the USA - their culture has overridden so much of England's, Scotland's and Wales's. We have chain stores everywhere, no respect for our history, and we've become a country with an identity crisis. We're constantly trying to be American - big cars, big houses, big food. DON'T MAKE OUR MISTAKE!

  • wat a racist

  • FUCK OFF YAKOVICH , you responded to my last post on another video in less then a few hours , obviously you dont got a job, your englsh is fucking worse then imigrants , YOUR UN-AUSTRALIAN! fucking come down to Liverpool , ill fuck ya up

  • I absolutely agree with you mate. About EVERYTHING!!

  • BRILLIANT! I think you are the perfect advocate for this sort of thinking. Keep up the great work.

  • LOL @ old moonface at 20 000 BC

  • I love the country to death but Yakovich is a fucking racist c#nt

  • @OmgSeriouslyWhenDid mate how is he racist he is been real

  • @OmgSeriouslyWhenDid Uhh? He's completely against racism, what video did you just watch you fucking white supremecist.

  • @PrivateJoker17 really, hmm lets see all of his fucking videos dumbcunt. he hates anyone that isnt australian, i myself em 50/50. one side full italian the other australian, and my parents assimilated and are "australian" but as Yakovich says "fucking wogs get the fuck out" without my parents and grandparents this country would never had been built, labours were needed for infrastructure like the snowy mountains scheme, my family make up a diverse and friendly community, he destroys it !

  • @OmgSeriouslyWhenDid Jesus Christ man, have you ever heard of irony, he's making fun of the racist idiots that think that way, he is very anti racist. You obviously cannot detect sarcasm and irony.

  • @OmgSeriouslyWhenDid Yeah like that private joker guy said - you didn't really get the point of what he was saying :(

  • @PrivateJoker17 all of his dickhead, its about "fucking wogs" fucking asian, the list goes on . the shit he produces circulates on youtube about sterotypes and racism, its because of fuckwits like him that people like me have to put up with his hate which accumilates in my community, its fucking hard to be friendly to particular people because there are too many fuckers like him

  • @OmgSeriouslyWhenDid Clearly somebody doesn't understand sarcasm, irony or intelligent humour, he is poking fun at the people that think that way, you should notice that he is pointing out the idiocy among racist people, by pretending to be one. This is obvious to everyone else, look deeper into his videos dude.

  • @PrivateJoker17 This guy told me in a personal message, look deeper? ill find more racism, you know he would be okay if he would admit to it publicly , might as well he lives on youtube, doesnt work apparently, no house , no life . Yakovich Get the fuck off youtube, no body likes u and your fag followers

  • @OmgSeriouslyWhenDid He sent you a personal message saying what? Because from what 'have seen he is very very anti racism.

  • You spent the first 2-minutes explaining that there is no need for Australians to culturally express our identity - then complained at how Americanised it's becoming. Paradox much?

  • Stop complaining about the country you live in and just chill out, maybe go outside and pick up some rubbish or something make a half decent contribution to the community

  • I'm of an asian background but born in australia. I've lived my whole life in Australia and would like to view myself as an aussie but every so often I'll have people telling me to go back to china or something along those lines. Bloody hell, these people aren't of australian decent themselves and they tell me to piss off? what a joke.

  • @sanosukeX2 I get the same thing man, Australia Day seems to be a way people can express their racism under the guise of being patriotic.

  • well said

  • spot on video. i prefer the old australia. 50s-80s. i went lately and i found it really bad. very over sensitive young population. older ones were cool. but im sorry to say, i was not impressed. i wouldnt live there at the moment. i thought it would still be old school, which i like, but was disappointed to hear it wasnt just sydney, it was all over. i hardly found any characters. a lot of vandalism and drunks. heroin and so on. over proud. over sensitive and not dinkum.

  • Yakovich you are a fucking legend and if you ran for primeminister i'd vote for you cause you alway seem to know whats going on. So cheers mate

  • You obviously haven't heard of this place called Geraldton...

  • This guy is actually a legend. Makes me proud to be Australian.

  • well presented , well thought out, top video , you should be proud of your input to this

  • @ericau2000 It's OK

  • makes me proud that us kiwis embraced our indigenous culture

  • @sal7t5 I actually got married on a marae in NZ!

  • @Yakovich That's f--king awesome!

  • I respect this video so much.

  • @sal7t5 That is something I've always wondered, why we Aussie's haven't done this. We are missing out on so much culture, knowledge and identity.

  • lol at the people who purpselfully type like bogans

  • @blackandproud75 Fighting against white oppression by stealing and murdering innocent people? Yeah nice one mate. As long as you keep up actions like that blacks will always be viewed the way they are now.

  • What is the point of celebrating Aboriginal culture? Most Australians are descendants of colonists, not Aboriginal persons. The colonists do not belong to that culture.

  • @MegaLolburger To clarify, I mean that there is no problem ACKNOWLEDGING your countries past, but the descendants of colonists can never be 'true' Australians. Just like American colonists can never be 'true' Americans.

  • @MegaLolburger So are you saying that if someone comes from a different culture then they shouldn't celebrate the culture of their new home? e.g. Muslims from Iraq?

  • @Yakovich But they belong to that culture because they are of that religion.

Religion is usually passed on through generations anyway. An Australian who has a colonist heritage doesn't belong to that culture, for the same reason that Americans don't belong to the Native American culture. Celebrating/acknowledging your countries past is one thing, pretending you are of that culture is another.

  • @MegaLolburger Bullshit! If someone immigrates to another country they are expected to assimilate into that country and culture. You only have to pick up any newspaper in Australia, England and many other places to see that this is expected by the residence of that country.

I was born in Australia! I have nothing to do with England, France, Yugoslavia or whatever country my ancestors came from. It's a bit ridiculous that I celebrate the culture of a country I've never set foot in isn't it?

  • @Yakovich Nobody is 'expected' to do that. Pretending you are part of the ancient culture of a country simply because you live in said country is like pretending you've been to the moon because you live in the USA. You have no claim to that culture other than the fact you live in that country.

Not really because you are actually from that culture (one of them, no doubt) Like I said you can celebrate your countries culture but pretending you belong to it because you live there is plain wrong.

  • @Yakovich I worded that first part wrong. They are expected to abide by rules of course, but there is no rule that says they have to abide by said culture. It is quite the opposite. Living in a democracy means that you are allowed to belong to whatever culture you like, it is freedom.

There is a Muslim, Asian, Jewish, African culture etc etc in pretty much any Commonwealth or Western country. I've never read any newspaper that claims one MUST be part of the culture of the country they live in.

  • Too right Australia is so far up America's and China's arse its untrue.Call the Poms for having a class system,In Aus you pay for health cover and for a half decent school, fuck me schools and healthcare is free in pomyland,no class system in Aus my Arse, biggest country in world fucking building land no one can afford anymore,Realo told me the other day there is a land shortage in Aus... pigs arse
