danny steele looked weak in his stance even in the first roun but he was always kicking melcho in the inside of the leg but melchor did not go down.....it's frustrating when you kick and people don't go down...
Melchor gave the most damage to the opponent and had much more accuracy. Steele just kept coming forward to at least show some aggressiveness. It was obvious Steele's shin were injured seeing those bruises especially on the left leg. If this continued any further, Steele would obviously be the first one to go down.
I trained with Danny in Tucson AZ at boxing inc max for most of 2007. He was without a doubt one of the greatest fighters Ive met. Although he does throw TONS of overhands, he makes up for it with DEVASTATING leg kicks!
Actually In my Point of View on this Whole 3 way part fight, I now see that Danny Steele is like the only fighter that can stand toe to toe against Melchor Menor. Thumbs up if you agree
Both amazing fighters. I appreciate their sportsmanship and their overall performance. Awesome job Menor! And Steele, you're one of the greats! Excellent fight to both!!!!
MORE TO SAY , SOME TRUTHS TO BE TOLD ! SOME HISTORY OF THE RING MEN FILPIAN MEL WAS ASSISTED BY MASTER K AND JOHN WANE PARR . DANNY STEEL , MOTHER VIET -NAM FATHER US ARMY POLACK , RING ASSISTANTS JANANESE YOUKI FROM HIS PISTON KICKBOXING GYM . DAVE CRAPES HAWIAN LAPA-LAPA XYZ.. I THINK I SEEN PETER CUNNINGHAM ON THE RING APRON IN THE PREVEIOUS ROUND .. **TUFF GUYS ABSOLUTLY YES ,, TECHNICIANS NEVER EVER BOTH LACK FEEMUR SKILLS . CIECEIL PEOPLES FROM UFC FAME WAS THE REF!! SKILL
@sKullZ55mzplayboy have to disagree there, both very good fighters with unique styles, like them both very much :P but i guess ur american and favors steele ;) which is ok. i support the dutch mainly also, so same thing there
muay shit.melchor menor is good but i wish he would be more aggressive.seems like he's holding back abit.he couldve destroyed that white guy to the cemetery
I don't get what the hype about this Menor guy is. He just looks average to me, he can't compare to someone like Buakaw, or Andy Souwer, or Sato. That's not to mention what would happen if he got into a real Muay Thai fight with total Muay Thai rules against a real Thai fighting out of Lumpinee or Omnoi stadium(s). I've only seen two fights of his on here, so he must not have much in the way of a career, or skill for that matter.
@RegistrationCop Look him up before you start talking. Mel is awsome. He's a former 2x world Muay Thai champion.
I agree that he would have a real hard time against Buakaw. He had a fight with sato back in 2000 and lost I think, Sato hit him with an elbow in the first round and then attacked his legs so he lost.
Thank you for posting this. I am Danny's old coach. He's retired and chilling in Hawaii. They were the 1st American Muay Thai fighters to have a fight trilogy. Danny had some of the most devastatin kicks and Mel was the most technical Muay Thai fighter from the US at that time.
What fight were the judges watching?

the commentary is hilariously biased. I like how they STFU'd when Melchor was announced the winner.

Menor's speciality IS full muay thai rules.
