  • lol, you can wash my floors anytime!!! It's certainly all in the eye of the beholder.

  • very fanny, people who have less education left more ambitious and more aggressive comments... also we can see now that education in USA is very expensive pleasure cause that much negative reaction on this performance and that is happening in Twenty first century, and how ease people judging, instead try to understand and educate them self if something looks strange for them. It is dangerous way to behave cause it is leads to deepest stage of ignorance.

    Laura thanks for great performance!

  • @AmarArtStudio Thank you very much for your comment!! and thank you for the video, it is really nice. As you said it is difficult for most people to open their minds to different experiencies that could be interesting. That does not happen only in usa but everywhere.

  • @tiomiles

dear Laura, I am glad you like my abstract video painting, I am painting on canvas too, just like you. Unfortunately I don't have web site yet that is why I mostly posting my art news on Facebook. I was searching for tutorial film for abstract painting, because I want to make some about same subject, and I sow your expressive performance, which is reminded me very much my creative life in NY in middle of the90s, and than I sow all this comments... it is opened old layers from my past

  • @AmarArtStudio Unfortunately education is not the priority of almost any government. I wasnt ambitious at all when i made this video, just wanted to see myself painting while listening to my friend´s music. There are many different comments here and some are really nice.

  • @tiomiles I think is education on this field not connected with governmental programs at all. It is coming more from mystical encounters with Master, real life Master, who is arriving in right time and giving you valuable experience. Of cause it depends from your work, in India they say " when student is ready, Master immediately arriving" I also visit your web site and love your works. Wish you the best!

  • @AmarArtStudio sorry i was having problems uploading the answers to your coment, hope you got it right, saludos! Laura

  • Hi, love your work, i just started to paint and i love the colors that you are using, what kind of paint are that?Acrilics?

  • Hi! Thanks!! Well I wish you the best in your new journey with painting, enjoy the experience as much as you can. Yes I am using acrylic here, just to start, then I use oil painting. This painting is finished now and you can see it at davislaura, com. It is the second painting of the third row of pictures at the new work | 2005 2009 link.

Thanks again, saludos from buenos aires!! Laura

  • Very interesting...In the beginning I must say, I was bit confused..but the end result is very good..Its appealing to the eye of a very common man like me..

    Good job !

  • Thank you! No one is "very common" we are all unique, and special in some way, Love, Laura

  • u don't have to be artist to do that any one who knows colour can make what u calling it art

  • Well, I never called this "art" who knows what the word art means. Actually it had meant different things along art history. This was just the begining of one of my paintings, and the title "How to paint" is a kind of joke, there is no one way to paint, but many different ways depending on what you want to do, what you have to say in your paintings. I paint and draw in many different ways. My work is at davislaura, com, thanks for posting a comment, all this means a lot to me, Lau

  • @tiomiles keep it up u doing great and u welcome

  • Another Obama supporter hard at "work"

  • Let the man express himself and take joy in his creativity. He deserves any kind of monetary gain that comes his way and probably some that doesnt. what would you like? another corporate criminal that spends his life swindling people out of their money and poisoning the environment? Paint brother, Paint!

  • This comment is very funy, jajajajaja, laura

  • Sad to see what so called modern art fraudsters and conman did to the art of painting in the 20th century.Just watching this video made me sad and mad.Did this painter ever see a Velasquez,Rembrandt or Vermeer? i am sorry but you are nothing but a looser.Don't waste your money paying for these large canvassas.May be you should try to mimic Tracy Emin and try to sell your urine soaked bed! In today's art market this type of con(art) sells more and may bring you fame...who knows?

  • shut up

  • What about Kandinsky or Miró? Are they loosers too? I DON'T think so...

I happen to love Abstract art. Everybody has their favorite style, and it's unwise to criticize in such an insulting way. ART is ART.

    The shame is on you!

  • What did that brush ever do to her?

  • that brush is one of my best brushes, actually. I respect it a lot; that is why I use it a lot, thanks for all the comments I love them, laura

  • I had to do something like this for art class, except we drew lines with colored pencils and it was to a variety of music.

  • It depends on your design and what you want to paint. Acrylic is fine, as for the canvas it depends on the size, how big will be the background?

  • are you a crazy?

  • It's called action painting. Don't comment on art videos if you don't understand art! Why be mean on someone else's page? Get a hobby Tominator!

  • LMAO i have a lot of hobbys including art and she is still is crazy

  • what kind of paint and canvas are you using?

  • I am using acrylic and then oil paint; the canvas is a very thick one and I prepare the canvases myself. I made this video when I started the painting and uploaded it just for my friends; this was the first time I made a video during the process of painting. You can see the finished painting at my web site

  • what is your website?

  • davislaura,com saludos! laura

  • <3 Very pretty.

  • thank you!! laura

  • uh cool!

  • this painting, as they say in France.. "Le Sucks"

  • lol, what's up with the jazz music? hahaha

  • hahah u might wanna go clean the house, it might help u better lol than trying to paint lol

  • horrible

  • she looks mad. And what a god awful painting.

  • poor brush^^ interessting work...

  • wtf is this... why do people consider this type of crap paintings art?? wtf!?

  • I guess they do.....I better get going on mine...

  • and what is art?

  • i wish i was the guy selling her brushes haha

  • some gayyyyy music

  • wow! I guess she is just hoping for the best..loll

  • it looks more like shes trying to scrub the floor

  • THAT was damn funny bboyzdogg....

  • Hehe, what a contrast. I just watched a guy do a photorealistic figure in acrylics with a tiny brush and now this.

  • damn howd that happen lol

  • wtfg my liil cuz did something that looked better than this in just like 5min of fingure painting

  • Yikes.

Note to self: never date an artist.

  • AHAHAHAHA

  • Nothing says "I'm trying hard to be artistic" like putting a jazz fusion cd on and throwing paint at a canvas. It might've been passable if it looked like art at the end of it. I'd like to see the finished product.

  • this is real emotional abstract art not photoshop, i think your getting confussed.

  • I think you're underestimating my knowledge of art, because it extends far beyond digital painting. I happen to know a lot about abstract art and I know that this is a pitiful display of it.

  • why is this a pitiful display of it? art is what ever you make it? she is really putting her emotion into this much better than doing a piece based on what other people would like.

  • If that statement were true, then everything is art, and everyone is an artist. I don't see everyone living off of art, and there is a reason for it, because frantically slapping paint on a piece of canvas does not automatically equal an emotional abstract piece. From what can be seen from this video, it equals paint frantically slapped on canvas, and nothing more.

  • Could not agree more!

  • P.S. I understand that its good to be open minded when it comes to appreciating art; on the other hand it doesn't mean you have to appreciate everything that a paintbrush has been put to.

P.P.S No one likes jazz fusion because its terrible. People do--on the other hand--listen to it to appear more artsy.

  • thats very true what might be art in my eye might be something very different in someone elses. the jazz bit does seem a bit trying lol, but you never know she may listen to it all the time.

  • I doubt it.

  • haha

  • I thought it was great. Put more videos of you painting up.

  • need psychologic help..

    Pablo Vazquez y Caro Tierhs

  • perhaps you could see a shrink.........?

  • ja ja ja yeah good idea... salud!! Laura

  • Este video es una broma de mal gusto, esto es un desprestigio para el Arte.

  • umm.. wat the crap?... do u need be so hardo n the brush??? jeeze

  • tambien me uno con manolo en cuanto a "tu arte", pero la musica si vale la pena, como sea, deberias de esforzarte en conocer mas de lo que te ofrece la escuela gringa.

  • ...

uhh...not sure how to say this, but that..painting doesn't look artistic at all. I have to agree with Manolo.

This is very mediocre, and displays no kind of feeling, all I see is a very annoyed woman scraping at a canvas with a brush.
