The rainy day song is my absolute favorite theme from Animal Crossing. The Game Cube version is still the best, and I honestly hope Nintendo redeems the title with the 3DS version. All the events, animals, furniture, island, etc... All so magnificent. I have wonderful childhood memories of this game. Unfortunately, I can not re-create those memories. I've tried, and it only tarnishes it for me. :( I have faith Nintendo will do good with AC:3DS... Otherwise, I'm leaving Nintendo for good.

In a nutshell of strange coincidences, I lost two of my villagers (Tangy and Hector), who were staples from the beginning.

It's weird. I hadn't even played the game regularly since maybe four years ago, but I feel nearly devastated by it. I remember when I'd walk into Tangy's house and just listen to the beating hum of the Apple TV and nothing else. She's in my other town now, but it's just not the same.

Funny how a game, and perhaps even losing a piece of childhood, can get to you.
