  • The laws of God, nature and the people?

  • Being Christian means to listen for the word and spirit of God speaking in each age and show compassion. I suggest you be still and listen and show compassion, not arrogance.

  • Read the decision. It says that just because same sex couples can't procreate does not mean they are a "dissimilar class" to same sex couples. Marriage does involve the erotic for a lot of couples. But marriage is more than what people do with their genitals. It's about a deep soul connection that could be considered a gift from God. Now you see through a window dimly. Check out: the video on the channel RReveille.

  • I'm a Christian and I find this stupid. Regardless of whether or not you agree with homosexuality, keeping homosexuals from marrying just because you disagree with it is wrong.

  • Does anyone have a cat that I can interview, so I can get the cat opinion on dog licence discrimination?

  • You lost the unique definition of being Christian and human. You don't get it. In the last few weeks two 11 year olds hanged themselves because of gay hate, taunts, and non-acceptance. I work with suicidal and depressed youth. Most are Christians. I have prevented several, one was only 12, from committing suicide.

You try to pretend you care but you don't and the blood of these youth is on your hands.

  • This guy IS a dog,lol.

  • Well, hey, let's just go back to the "traditional" definition of marriage right here in the good ol' US of A: Blacks are forbidden marriage licenses! God would love that, wouldn't it, Coral Ridge Ministries?

Of course, I'm still waiting on your response to the inability of cats and dogs to sign civil contracts.

Perhaps all of you have spent WAY too much of bigoted tithings on hair dye and terrible hair transplants?

I assume the prayers didn't come through for your vanity?

  • "the sheer arrogance is astounding"

lol wut. I'm wondering WHO is being the arrogant here. The people who love eachother and want to get married or the people who won't give them the time of day in our legal system because it might go against a religious document.

  • in the USA, you know the land we all love, 67% of the want gay marriage (42%) or civil unions (25%) and only 28% think this the people in the video. the simple fact they have lost and it only time that will end this.

  • Yeah, because we all know that cats and dogs are able to understand and sign a civil contract.

The people are an embarrassment to the entire US.

  • Sad, just sad.

  • Dog licences? This is going to be a classic.

  • dogs and cats? ok, the oposition's arguments have gone from offensive and nonsensical to offensive, nonsensical, and just plain pathetic

  • Way to not get the point, losers.

  • What is he talking about? Dog licenses? That makes no frigging sense.

  • Bigotry is so ugly....The baby Jeebus is weeping over the hate from these Xtians.

  • What do they think the judges are for? Has anyone noticed that most Homophobes have no clue how goverment works? I am sure they thought it was wrong that the judges ruled that it was okay for inter-racial marriage.

  • It's sad that our education system failed. Apparently the public doesn't understand the roles of the three branches of government!

  • This to me is a non-issue. If you don't agree with marriage equality, don't marry someone of the same sex! As a school teacher, I don't ever recall reading/citing the words..."with liberty and justice for ALL" and seeing the word, "except". Separate but equal does not, has not and should not work. We can not "eenie meenie miney moe" through our neighborhoods and point to who is allowed marriage or not. As a christian and American, I am for equality, love, and acceptance to all human life :)

  • You stupid, fucking, ignorant bigots. The 14th amendment banned seperate but equal. Civil unions are not the same as marriage, so you make civil unions into marriages. BUT you probably have something to say like homosexuality is an abmination, in religion it is, but more impotantly it is right in the ethical, moral, and legal aspects. I can't believe I am in the same church with these bigots

  • The court did not rewrite the laws of god. God can still make up what ever irrational laws that it wants. The court did not rewrite the laws of nature. Nature does not have legally recognized marriage. Also there are numerous species that practice homosexuality.

Dog licenses to cats? What are you smoking?

Marriage comes along with certain benefits: couples health insurance, hospital visitation, property sharing.... Denying marriage to homosexuals denies them these important benefits.

  • 'absurd opinion'? LOL

Sorry bud, you can not take the church's definition of marriage and apply it to the government. That's really the only basis you have.

What's up with the cats and dogs argument? Are you trying to say that gay people aren't human?

Sorry CRM this is definitely one of your more lame arguments.

  • First, in deciding the marriage cases the judges could not have taken the will of "GOD" into account. If they did than what god should they follow Allah, Budda, the God of more progressive protestant Church's. The U.S. is not a theocracy buddy.

  • They U.S. Constitution clearly states the the government cannot favor on religion over another. Your view that the government should adopt Christianity is disrespecting other religions.

Furthermore, While the U.S. has christian influences the nation itself is no a Christian nation (See treaty of Tripoli)

  • How about disrespecting the United States Constitution as well as the Constitution of Iowa?

  • How does this disrespect the United States Constitution? I can see how you would think that it disrespects the constitution of Iowa, but what does this have to do with the federal level?

  • Federal Constitution talks of separation of church and state (just like Iowa State Constitution). Usually people crying "judicial activism" oppose the same thing - courts interpreting constitutions - by the federal courts.

  • If the judges aren't supposed to interpret the constitution, who is? Its not like the constitution covers every minor detail and possible situation.

  • I agree. it's the judges job.
