Such a treat to see Rusty, Paul, and Jack pop up on my recommendations. I knew Jack Sundrud when he was with Podipto in 1971 in MN and ND. What a great songwriter and bass player and Poco is lucky to have him. Check out his solo CD. It's wonderful.......Pamela
@JACQUELINEGREENE While I wouldn't go so far as to say "Fuck the Eagles," as I love them too, I agree with the sentiment. I think the Eagles certainly deserve the praise they get, and would never want to take that away from them. However, Poco is criminally underrated, and it's a damn shame that most people have never heard of them, even though their first album beat the Eagles by 3 years. And personally, I don't think the Eagles' harmonies held a candle to Poco's at their best.
(continued) - The Eagles never sounded quite as good as Poco did instrumentally either IMO. I mean, Bernie Leadon is no slouch as an acoustic/country player, but Rusty Young eats him for breakfast. NOBODY can touch Rusty on PSG. And the early lineup with Rusty, Paul Cotton, Richie Furay, Timothy B. Schmit, and George Grantham was absolutely superb. Had it not been for Poco, the Eagles might never have been as successful as they are. Poco are the KINGS of country rock!
@woodchuk123 Look: I am really sorry, if I offended you with my comment. You'd think I would had learned by now! But, my foul mouth continues to get me in TROUBLE!!
I too, am a big fan of the Eagles, They are a good band in their own right. I do think that Power & Money have gone to their Heads; I mean, they really fucked Don Felder over; didn't they??
And besides: I just like to root for the under-dog, anyway!!
@JACQUELINEGREENE Oh, you didn't offend me. Anybody who roots for Poco as the underdog is absolutely right as far as I'm concerned, because Poco is disturbingly underrated. I'm convinced that on some level, Poco is what the Eagles always wanted to be. Why else would they steal their bass players on two separate occasions? I've also noticed that many times, whenever Poco came out with a new album in the 70's and tried something new, the next Eagles album tried to reflect that change.
Love these guys, and I Love this song - it brings back so many special memories of my youth - Thank You :)

I remember this song from Frank's living room. Paul had written out the tabs for the guys to remember. Great song.
