  • I just really like you and your videos man!

  • his voice lowers on unimportant parts... sounds like he's telling himself to shut up, lol, then he remembers he's talking again, LOOOLLLL!!

  • Sal,

If you assume Q=0 and W=0 doesn't it make sense to use the delta?

  • 8:59 "burrururu" hahahaha

  • whts this video doing in the chemistry playlist?

  • OH THANKS GOD GOD YOU WERE BORN!! you have a wonderful method if i continue watching your videos i can Guarantee the A+....... ! :D

  • You could use the expression delta U = Q-W with the following convention:

Q is + if it is added to the system

Q is - if it is removed from the system

W is + if it is done by the system

W is - if it is done to the system.

  • @alpazmar Work done by the system is energy lost, therefore W is - if it is done by the system.

  • I remember reading the first year thermo textbook for electrical engineering like 7 times on internal energy and still didn't fully understand until I watched this. Thank you!

  • Alright, I just noticed the smiley face in the "o" he did on accident in the word "done" at time #t=13m15s. If you noticed this or just now saw it, thumbs up!

  • Q = Energy gained by the system.

W = Energy lost from the system.

U = Total energy of the system before losing or gaining energy.

  • lol, "i dont care how it got to that state"

  • Thanks Sal

  • enthalpy is essentially a way of measuring how much heat is in a system! 6:10 Does not that contradict what you were just saying?

  • Not sure how to apply this lesson to my overall question? I will have to think about it and formulate questions based on those thoughts. Thanks for the lesson!!
