I sure miss living in Washington I lived here from 2000-2008 and unfortunately had to move back home (Japan) when I lost my job because I couldnt recieve unemployment benefits because I was not a US resident

Luckypiper, what a beautiful tribute. Thank you so much for posting this. The shooting of the 4 officers occurred just a few streets from our home. My husband and I were honored to stand at the procession, too. I'll never forget how bitterly cold it was! It was such an amazing show of love and support, and I'll never forget it for the rest of my days. This has been a life-changing few months. I'm never going to forget the officers, and I'll always keep their families in my prayers.

For those of you wondering if your tax dollars wen towards the procession - rest assured. apart from a little gasoline, you're money is quite safe. And with all the money raised by the kind donations of people that care about such atrocities, the gasoline should be more than covered. Take your hatred back to the ghetto. And if you are really THAT worried about taxes and how it is being spent, maybe you could give some of that food stamp money back!

My heart and prayers go out to the friends and families!!! This was a very sad day for people across the us. I watched the funeral at the mall of all places and was crying the whole time. My children bought a gift for all 9 kids, we know that will never bring their parent back but we hope that it will help a little..to any officer reading this you have my families love and respect, we thank you for all that you do for us!!!

I live on one of hte bases here, lakewood is just outside the gate, its where I do most of my shopping and stuff. I go to school in South Tacoma so we had front row of the procession this morning/afternoon.
