fucking communist they took almost every beautiful thing from so many artists from the east block!!!but music and talent from any other art triumph always because music it's an instrument of God!
hey, wait...when i saw this movie in russia, there was a scene in the middle of the concert where the manager of the chatelet kissed his assistant...and also it seems like here the russian-spoken parts have been dubbed.
Before complaining, will you please be patient enough to see that there are two parts? One would have been >10minutes and, since I wanted to keep both of these at an even length, I have separated them at that point. Thank you!
How could you cut the violin like that, just like that? It is indeed a beaitiful interpretation, in a great movie, but you ruined it by cutting the end
Oh my God I love this, I cried with this scene when I saw the movie! There is a great climax in it, it starts poorly but then it gets better and better. And everybody think they are going to mess it up and then it gets better and better! Its wonderfull!
the "real" soliste of this movie is Sarah Nemtanu, the premier violon solo of l'orchestre national de France. She just has her new album Gypsic in june 2010 at fnac.
Charming movie, beautiful story~ thanks for your sharing! very touching scene.
PLEASE SOMEONE CAN HELP ME.!!!!!!!!!!!1... i look this movie the last year and im trying to find the name of one musical classic piece that is played at the begining of the movie, i know it must be a classic violin song, i love the melody but dont know the name... the rythm is very slow and kind of melancolic... could someone help me??????????????????????????
I bought the DVD and got the bonus selection and Melanie Laurent had to learn to play for 4 to 5 months !, but of course, she could not reach the level of this concerto.
if u r referring to the actress playing the woman violin player in the center of the scene, it's Mélanie Laurent.... Except for a few cases, I cannot know for sure if all the actors had learned how to actually play their instruments or there is a certain sound cover
@llullailaco if I remember correctly, the actress had a few months of intense lessons so she could learn how to use her bow properly. If you notice for most of the time, her left hand was cut off from the main frame. Only for a very few scenes it isn't. And when you see her fingers by themselves, it's someone elses. As for the actual sound, it's the first violinist of the paris orchestra I believe. Search Melanie Laurent interview on google for more information :)
@llullailaco Dude, of course they were air-playing it's the bloody Violin Concerto! It's a masterpiece and is really hard to play! Mélanie Laurent isn't a professional violon player.
his name is andrei filipov

I don´t think melanie´d play so well, if she did, she´d be propably well known soloist of some orchestre, It has to be recovered :D :*
