I'm his biggest fan in the world trust me but he didn't invent shock rock he just made it more well known and 1000000000x better. Some creators and early influences of Alice are Arthur Brown and Screamin' Jay Hawkins. Alice would admit himself that he didn't create it but he is the godfather.
I didn't said that he created shock rock. I said that he created theatrical rock and that's not the same thing as shock rock. The Alice Cooper band were THE first band that used theatrics on stage, they were also THE first glam rock band ever. They defined shock rock, but didn't invent it.
Ya I know that, I actually wasn't just speaking to you I was making it known to everyone because sometimes people mistake him for the creator of shock rock. Alice is god to me and I praise 24/7.
Do you know who Alice Cooper is? Without him Manson wouldn't be Manson. He'd just be Brian Warner who got most of his ideas and stage presence from KISS, instead of the androgynous, infanticidal, surreal, macabre Alice Cooper character from the early 70's.
But without Alice there would be no KISS. I think that if Alice never did what he did then there would be no goth, punk, garage rock, heavy metal, glam rock, or shock rock ever and who knows what music would be like? It would be boring and dull without Alice, the truth is Alice was one of the biggest inspirations for new artists and I say that he is number 2 next to the Beatles. So Manson, Motley Crue, Kiss, Blue Oyster Cult, the Misfits, Twisted Sister, WASP, etc would never exist.
Yeah man alice cooper is far more loved then marilyn manson. My uptight father loves Alice cooper. Marilyn manson would be working at mcdonalds if it weren't for alice
The songs here very heavily favor the band era, yet only the singer is shown. Just doesn't seem fair. In fact there's nothing here from Alice's last 30 years as an active solo artist.

Cooper is the inventor of theatrical rock and roll! He's also the most underrated rock musician ever.

Go back to grade school. There would be no Marilyn without Alice. Even his name is an Alice rip off!
