In my opinion, absolutely the greatest singer ever. This video is incredible, she is incredibly beautiful, and a voice like no other. I could listen to her all day long, and I love how humble and down to earth she is. Absolutely the best!
I will only accept Trisha Yearwood sing "How Do I Live".... She is the original and yet the best I have ever heard compare than the others who sing "How Do I Live".
@blekblek90 no LeAnn Rimes was the first one to record it. It was meant for Con Air but the producers wanted a more poppy feel so they ask trisha yearwood to do it. Trisha released it first but did not record it first. This version is better. but LeAnn's version IS the original if we're being technical
The original version was written for Leann Rimes by Diane Warren. Leann recorded the song first, but the Con Air movie producers didn't like her version so they asked Trisha to sing it. It's cool though because the majority see this as Leann's song and don't even know that Trisha covered it. Leann's version is the popular one and the one that broke records for remaining on the Billboard hot 100 list for more than 69 weeks! Her version peaked at 2, Trisha came at 7.
i still remembers u..and always will. u sent me this song b4. but what happened was only for the best for both of us....never forget u....love ur smiles how i miss them. even if i should love again....ur still here in my mind and heart. u know who u r....
This is the best version and only version. I love Leanns voice but was 16 at the time of recording so both her voice and her life experience are so far away from this.Trisha should've had this released like originally planned as it would have rightfully put her on the world stage that she so deserves.
this song makes me cry every time i hear it , how do we live without that one person that we have loved we dont we just learn to live with it and go on
The song was made for the movie "Con Air". Leanne recorded the song, but they were looking for more mature sounding vocals to be featured in the movie soundtrack. Trisha made a version of the song, which was chosen for the movie and won her a Grammy award. Both versions are good, but Trisha was a better voice for the song.
@PManiaK0 LeAnn is the original singer of this song not Trisha Yearwood.
The song was originally intended for release as a single for the 1997 action blockbuster Con Air soundtrack. Warren wrote the song for Rimes to sing. The producers felt that Rimes's version had too much of a pop feeling to it, and requested that she re-record it to fit their standards. She refused, and the producers chose Trisha Yearwood to record the song.
@PManiaK0 I do agree that Trisha Yearwoods version is better live, But,Leann recorded the song first. When Trisha recorded the song she didn't know the song had been recorded my Leann. She said if she knew she wouldn't of recorded the song. Trisha was put in an awkward postion but, was very professional about it. Leann had a big hit on the pop charts with the song. Trisha had the country hit and won a Grammy over Leann for the song.
@twinstu50 and a correction for you, you spell her name, T-R-I-S-H-A, and another thing, even though Leann has sang it many times, Trisha still made a whole lot more money off of it, Trisha was the better singer, otherwise she wouldnt have recorded it for Conair, that's the only reason Leann sang it was bcus they had to complain about it, so get it right befor you make statements about who's more better and more talented, who won that one? not you, me! hahaha
@charm2cs Actually, Con-air was originally going to use Leann Rimes, but after they heard her recording, they decided that it was too pop, and decided to go with Trisha Yearwood. They were released almost simultaneously. They were nominated for a grammy in the same category for the same song
I've just come home from a busy, hot, (35C) day driving a truck in Sydney traffic, no air-con, it's one day before Christmas, I am beat.
I just wanted to relax, mellow out, then, I stumbled upon this.
I've played it more than two times now, headphones on, and I'm damn near blubberin', as Trisha sings, I think of my wife, out in the swimming pool at the moment, we're 38 years married, and this Lady is saying it all.
amazingg :)

Point taken. And accepted.
One thing, though.
Leanne Rhimes has sung this innumerable times., excellently.
Though Tricia Yearwood truly ownes this, Leanne Rhimes is a singer of quality.
Her star is in the ascdendant.
