@blekblek90 no LeAnn Rimes was the first one to record it. It was meant for Con Air but the producers wanted a more poppy feel so they ask trisha yearwood to do it. Trisha released it first but did not record it first. This version is better. but LeAnn's version IS the original if we're being technical

The original version was written for Leann Rimes by Diane Warren. Leann recorded the song first, but the Con Air movie producers didn't like her version so they asked Trisha to sing it. It's cool though because the majority see this as Leann's song and don't even know that Trisha covered it. Leann's version is the popular one and the one that broke records for remaining on the Billboard hot 100 list for more than 69 weeks! Her version peaked at 2, Trisha came at 7.

This is the best version and only version. I love Leanns voice but was 16 at the time of recording so both her voice and her life experience are so far away from this.Trisha should've had this released like originally planned as it would have rightfully put her on the world stage that she so deserves.

The song was originally intended for release as a single for the 1997 action blockbuster Con Air soundtrack. Warren wrote the song for Rimes to sing. The producers felt that Rimes's version had too much of a pop feeling to it, and requested that she re-record it to fit their standards. She refused, and the producers chose Trisha Yearwood to record the song.

She said if she knew she wouldn't of recorded the song. Trisha was put in an awkward postion but, was very professional about it. Leann had a big hit on the pop charts with the song.
