reconnect your wireless router then connect again then make sure your wep is activated and make sure your wireless router is connected to the hardriver for internet acess and espically put your antennas up on your wireless router

Hi, The SSID is just the name of your network, which is usually just the name of the router, for example ive got a 3Com router, and the SSID (name) is 3Com

if you have a password like a WEP key, enter that. but the DS has a low internet security setting as "Standard" so if your pass key is a WIP it wont work. other than that its probably that you're internet security settings are too high for WIFI to connect. dose that help ;P

You need to be near a WiFi access point thats compatible with your DS.

no it dont cost uttin to surf the net on psp however the ds problem is probibly cuz the ds uses diffrent signal than the psp does

you can try using "Manual Set-up" on the DS probrably because the router doesn't want to pick up the DS's broadcasting signal...

or, try refering to your router's manual for information on configuring your router settings to let the DS connect

The band: 802.11g/b and WEP segurity beacause the other securitys doesnt work on DS the band is 802.11g/b and standard setup.

Your IP address, Your DNS Address, your subnet, your SSID EX: 802.11g/b-AP. AP= access point.

thats becuz go to your router settings and PUT THE NINTENDO DS on your router then it will be able to find it...

The router I used (DSL-G40T or w/e) is incompatible with all Nintendo WiFi products. The only way for it to work with it is to flash an Australian firmware which supports Nintendo hardware. Seeing as this method doesn't have a perfect track record, I upgraded my internet account with my ISP and received a router that is compatible, works without a hitch for all my WiFi products.

I know plenty about my router and firewalls, if you'd read my other comments you'd see why it doesn't work. If your talking about allowing per MAC address then thats already been tried plus I disabled the MAC allow list so any device can connect (I still have WEP). My wireless beacon has full signal and my SSID is NOT hidden so there is no reason (except incompatible hardware) why my wireless network wouldn't be found within a few feet of the router.

Hey wrenchy i got the same router as well...lol thats how i came acros ur vid. Mine however is in range but says that its security setings doesn't suport ds even though i made sure my router was set to wep security. i don't know whats going on, at least my local hotspot works fine. grrrr

Its because both the Nintendo Wii and DS have a good but limited compatability with routers. When I got my Wii I also bought the Nintendo WiFi adapter but consequently have lost my LAN which is puzzling. Anyone know why?

Well FYI my router falls into the 'almost' bracket. It has been confirmed on the Nintendo-WiFi forums to be incompatible without screwing with firmware that could destroy my connection. Racing head-to-head with someone in Taiwan on Mario Kart doesn't take providence over my internet and network connections and I hope I don't have this problem with my Wii come Friday. If I do I guess I'll have to get the Nintendo WiFi adapter which shouldn't be necessary for someone with a wireless connection.
