  • I saw The Flew a while back in Fort Lauderdale's Cinema Paradiso, and I knew that I had to buy it on DVD (which I conveniently ordered in the lobby after the film). It was one of the most original achievements that I have seen in an independent film, with some nods to the work of David Lynch, the Brothers Quay and Jan Svankmajer. Altogether, it's a stark and unique film.
