  • Super !!

  • Really cool. Nice work.

  • That was bloody good... thankyou.

  • Excellent job on this. Thanks so much for providing this brilliant mini-documentary.

  • I think you have quite a future as a filmmaker!

  • Very cool video man!

  • Thanks brother monk! nice nice very nice...

  • Great effort! Brought back memories for me of seeing the reunion in New York in back in the late 1990s. And the show I organised for them in London, England, in 2006. Some of the images you used were from my show. More people need to know about the Monks. So, well done. R.I.P. Dave Day and Roger Johnston.

  • Very enjoyable documentary anindiantoo.

  • V/O says: "...vocals full of non-sequiturs, hardly made sense, conveyed resentment and confusion". Couldn't have said it better.

  • I second all the other comments-- great commentary, great compilation o' clips, great return to Monktime. Fine work!

  • Awesome video - big kudos to the maker. Its getting embedded straight onto our site! Interestring to see the Monks clothes - clearly an influence on the Hives.

  • KLASSE KLASSE KLASSE !!!! Thank You for this !!!

  • Great video man!

  • I love the Monks and am a personal friend of Gary, the lead singer and guitarist. Can you just imagine if the Monks came out today? GREAT video!

  • @ajdburly Please tell Gary they have a lot of fans ub Mexico!!!

  • @ajdburly How do you know Gary, do you live here in MN?

I'm his great nephew[?] and i'm totally jazzed about all the fanfare here on the internetz... It's really heartening.

Hope you can get back to me. Have a good one.

  • @portzblitz Gary and my dad went to school together. I have been to his house a few times and him and Cindy have even been down to MO to visit us. I am a big fan of his Monk work and even his latest documentary work on Bemidji.

  • wow! that was awesome!

  • thx for this vid from germany. i´m a big fan of THEMONKS.

    great job and perfectly commentary.

  • Just re-read my autographed copy of BMT. I met Dave Day at Cavestomp 2000. Eddie did a reading in Baltimore the following summer. Its been almost 9 years, but it is still pretty remarkable to me.

The is a very nice radio/youtube piece. Nice job.

  • This is fantastic anindiantoo! Never forget my first Monks experience which was Feb. of 2006, perhaps you've read me recount it on other Monks videos here on You Tube. The way it struck you was the way it struck me. I'm a HUGE '60s nut, there's hardly a band you could mention to me that I don't know. I had heard OF The Monks previously but it was that fateful day in Feb. of '06 on You Tube when I was trying to find bands from 1966. I came across "Boys Are Boys" and that was all she wrote!
