Great effort! Brought back memories for me of seeing the reunion in New York in back in the late 1990s. And the show I organised for them in London, England, in 2006. Some of the images you used were from my show. More people need to know about the Monks. So, well done. R.I.P. Dave Day and Roger Johnston.
Awesome video - big kudos to the maker. Its getting embedded straight onto our site! Interestring to see the Monks clothes - clearly an influence on the Hives.
@portzblitz Gary and my dad went to school together. I have been to his house a few times and him and Cindy have even been down to MO to visit us. I am a big fan of his Monk work and even his latest documentary work on Bemidji.
Just re-read my autographed copy of BMT. I met Dave Day at Cavestomp 2000. Eddie did a reading in Baltimore the following summer. Its been almost 9 years, but it is still pretty remarkable to me.
This is fantastic anindiantoo! Never forget my first Monks experience which was Feb. of 2006, perhaps you've read me recount it on other Monks videos here on You Tube. The way it struck you was the way it struck me. I'm a HUGE '60s nut, there's hardly a band you could mention to me that I don't know. I had heard OF The Monks previously but it was that fateful day in Feb. of '06 on You Tube when I was trying to find bands from 1966. I came across "Boys Are Boys" and that was all she wrote!
thanks very much for this

V/O says: "...vocals full of non-sequiturs, hardly made sense, conveyed resentment and confusion". Couldn't have said it better.

Hope you can get back to me. Have a good one.
