  • selling brand new one on ebay for $180. Message me for ebay link.

  • what kinda boot times do u get i only get 51 seconds on windows 7 clean install seems realy slow i expected much more from this hdd any idea ?

  • What site did you buy your water Cooling parts from?

  • u just put the 2 forur pins side by side.. and wha laaaa...

  • Well that didn't work when I did that part about 2 months ago;) I found a 4pin cable hiding in the box;)

But ya that was 2 months ago.

  • please read from bottom most comment by me to the top, it will make sense then and you wont read it backwards.

  • Usually the x4pin ATX 12v is used in Desktop PC's (ATX motherboard) and the 8pin EPS 12v is used in servers (Workstation/Server motherboard) but it does not really matter, you can use either. Unless its a 4pin ATX CPU power connection then you must use 1 of the 2x4pin ATX 12v connectors.

  • the 2x4pin ATX 12v fufils the Intel ATX 2.x spec and the 8pin EPS 12v fufils the PSU EPS 2.9x spec. They are botjh for powering the CPU and you can use either, you really only need both when running a dual CPU socket motherboard (Skulltrial) or a motherboard with dual 8 pin power sockets for a single CPU (EVGAX58 Classified, thats the only one like that so far).

  • The 2x4pin power connector G4LBlackHawk asked about/showed in his video, its for the CPU Power, its known as a 8pin (2x4pin) ATX 12v Power Connector. What he already has plugged into the CPU power connection is the 8 pin EPS 12v, you can use either, they just fufil different specifications.

  • seems you have the 2x4pin (the spli pin connector you asked about) sussed as you have a video showing first boot (gratz, nice job for your first build, especially since you went straight to watercooling) but incase someone esle watches this and wonders what its for.

  • u should install ur OS using the old pc on that hard drive. So then when ur whole system is done all u will need to do is install drivers instead of having to wait for the whole OS installation. I hate that when i first build a system :P all i wanna do is get on and use it!

  • for the CPU power, from the looks of it, I think you got it backwards, those two splits end goes on the mortherboard and the one 8 pin goes on the powersupply, not all motherboard use eight ping plug, some only use four pin plug, thats why it has the split, just plug the two split on to your mother board it will only fit on one way anyways, let me know if this helps you

  • i also went to the siverstone website to look at the power supply and the plug for the cpu on the power supply use the 8 pin plug, so like i said you need to switch the cable around, the two split goes on your motheboard, and to other to the power supply

  • i fixed the cpu power problem about a week ago. the there was another cable for the cpu hiding in the box ;)

  • Alright i just made my order for my cpu and ram, so next video may be tonight (just a overview of the cable management) my video of my cpu and ram should be in on Tuesday. that's when im going to do my first boot. i will have every thing but the gtx295.

  • how is it going? it has been some time since last vid. Any updates?

  • im getting the cpu and ram sometime next week, if im luck sometime this week.

money is tight now for me. the place i worked at went out of business and i have some money in the back from my last paycheck but only for the ram, im going to barrow some money for my cpu, and i will get that money sometime this week or weekend.

after the 300 bucks its all left to how much i get back from my tax refund to get the gpu.

all i know is ill get the cpu and ram sometime next week.

  • your the first white person I've met that is actually tight for cash, man i feel your pain I'm a college student and bills are like my life so just stay up and apply for a security job at securitas EASY MONEY TRUST ME.

  • wouldn't it be better to connect the output of the pump to the input of the CPU and the output of the CPU to the input of the radiator (in order to have optimal pressure and flow in the CPU). In fact, there is always a small drop in pressure in the radiator...

    Just a thought!

  • well not really The pump produces little heat as well so it's better to vent the liquid and go from RAD to CPU than to pump and res unless you have res that can be cooled as well or second radiator. And use physics. Water is working on same level with least pressure. If you have rad and res to high the pump might struggle.

  • Great

Will you also be using liquid cooling for the graphics card?

  • no, im getting the 295 and i don't see how i can water cool that because the core is between 2 cards.

im going to have 2 120mm right by the gpu anyways.

  • nice vids, keep up the good work!

one small question: what is the brand/type of that nice fan controller you are using?

    Thanks a lot!

  • NZXT

  • Well I am looking for a decent fan controller which controls > 4 fans. Are you satified with the Sentry LX or would you recommend other products aswell?

    Thanks!

  • the sentry lx i have is really good, it controls the fans good and it lets u know what it the temp in the pc, and when im in game i all i have to do is look over and see what time it is on the sentry. even tho i havnt played a game on this rig, because its not done but thats what im going to do. if your looking for anything i said i think this is the perfect controller for u or any one.

and takes only 30 mins or less to hook it up.

  • mount the radiator in the front, looks a lot better.. and dont tell it doesnt fit cause i have a tripple rad in there:D

  • Well good for u. I'm keeping mine in the back. And yes I know I can fit it in the front.

  • tripple rad upfront u must not have alot of drives u got vid of this i wanna see.

  • ya sounds like bs to me and stupid, u just really need 2 if u are going to cool every part in your pc,

  • There is a way to mount tripple rad in antec 12 but then u will only be able to fit 1hdd 1cdd and 1fancontroller thats it whats the point in that lol.

  • Hmm Strange My comment didn't post. I'm planning to build similar setup only with Armor+ not a gaming unit. Only power workstation for Adobe etc. Can you describe in details what you have there and what you planning. Also EVGA told me yesterday that if I intend to use 12GB RAM but they told me to stick only with 1300 not to go to 1600 otherwise it won't be stable. You can pm if you want on the parts. I wonder how you build is going. Keep up. HNY 09

  • in the next video im going to make ill answer your questions. i wrote allot of stuff down and when i hit post comment the comment never shown up.

  • Can you measure the depth with the rad in back? I will most likely start with stock fan or Noctua fan Guru3d reviewed the fan and keep the 965 to 3.7 w/o LT. Also are there any stock Air filters on this case. I have dusty room. I want to use as much RAM as I can but no need for SLI or Xfire. PS doesn't support that yet. Perhaps later get a quadro card. Please send me list all of you u used. When do you think you are going to have it done? BTW. The GTA4 is not running very well on SLI.

  • I will pm u the rad specs when I get the time. And yes the antec1200 comes with dust filters. I'm planing of finishing the build around the end of this month if not earlyer.

  • there cpu power you dont need them it somes with the spare 8 pin for duel cpu or you can use just 4 pin for old school cpu mobo power.

  • i got the cpu power all ready hooked up i found a cable hiding in the the box of the psu xD

  • nice ur geting the gtx 295 to

  • Nice build love the 1200 and the i7.

  • Hey man wht's up. I see you're having issues with your 8 pin connector to your motherboard.

I don't have a Silverstone PSU but I'm pretty sure it's the same way as connecting the other PSU 8 pin, it's universal. Check the video below, the host made a quick demostration of how to connect them:

    I hope that helped ;)

  • Don't worry about this comment I'm just making sure that I posted my first comment correctly. I didn't see it when I came back to see this video. If this one doesn't post too, you probably changed it to private.

Just wanna make sure you got the Message :)
