If anyone sells things from aquarium, aquarium decor, and fish. Plz message me. I don't like shopping at petsmart or any other places so if u have anything that u like to sell send me a message about it and maybe i will buy it
Livebearers are the easiest fish to breed. As long as you have a male and two females(no matter the specimen). Just wait for the dark gravid spot to show behind the female's belly and in a day or so, you'll see babies swimming around everywhere. Make sure the parents are fed because they might eat the babies if left hungry alot. Plus, the fry eat very small particles of flakes also.
when buying fish from pet store 1- dont leave fish in a sealed bag for too long as carbon dioxide build up can kill them 2- switch off tank light when left on it will cause stress for the new fish 3- put open bag in tank and let float for 10mins so temperatures ajust 4- after 10 mins add small amount of your tank water into bag so that the new fish can ajust to your water - after 5 mins repeat process
5- before releasing the new fish into your tank give the other fish a small amount of food so they are feeding and there for distracted when new fish released 6- MOST IMPORTANT do not just pour fish and water into tank as many pet stores have bad quality water and can contain bad bacterias causing diease, take each fish out of bag with a net and then put in to ur tank. and finally once all fish are in swich on light and give small amount of food. this works for me never had problems GOOD LUCK
oh ya, and i have an exact same fish tank as that one, (10 gallon), and i had a few fish in there. (4) but then we bought 4 more fish, 2 barbs and 2 guppies and then a couple of hours later, i see the male guppy dead with his stomach up. maybe the barbs ate him (btw they were a little aggressive at first), or it was just unhealthy? can u help out? or anyone?
no guys the shark wont eat the other fish, but it will get aggressive and chase the other fish around, but dont wory, i think ur fine wit ur setup, u own all community fish (inc. the shark), the shark wont even bite the other fish.
As they are tropical fish, a tank with 28C or 80F, and add some salt as you change water will be best for them. They like a little salt in the water as mollies, guppies, platies do.
Their fry will be coming out as a little fish instead of eggs. So if you see your swordtail (female of course) having a darker belly when you look from rear, the dark patch is most likely the black eyes of the little fry in its body.
It's not that hard as they are live bearers. But among guppies, mollies, swordtails and platies. I think swordtail's fry are much more difficult to handle. I might be wrong because so far I haven't succeed in breeding them. But as I heard from other ppl, they have the same prob too. Well they eat their fry as snack, so you must separate them once the mother finish giving birth to them. Among the live bearers I think mollies' fry are easy to take care. Baby mollies are the biggest of them.

i agree with everyone else (not take the shark out) but those are very cute swordtails =)) do you know how o breed them??

Well breeding them is pretty easy!
You just need to get a pair and wait!
As they are tropical fish, a tank with 28C or 80F, and add some salt as you change water will be best for them. They like a little salt in the water as mollies, guppies, platies do.
Their fry will be coming out as a little fish instead of eggs. So if you see your swordtail (female of course) having a darker belly when you look from rear, the dark patch is most likely the black eyes of the little fry in its body.

take the shark out and then it will be the perfect tank
jeni1994 4 years ago
Why did you say that?
tmshcc 4 years ago
because it will get 6 inches and become agressive and eat the other fish.
jeni1994 4 years ago
