I've always loved the Russian song, although I can't understand a word, and I like it even better now I've looked up the translation...it has the most beautiful lyrics I've ever heard, it's like poetry..
Just watched the whole concert! Fantastic! Such great emotions I got. Great tenors! They sang in Italian, German, English. And it is very pleasant to hear Ochi Chernie as I'm russian.
Only yesterday I watched this concert on dvd for the first time and when I heard them singing Russian my heart almost died, I couldn't believe it. My native language is Latvian, but a lot of people in Latvia are speaking Russian as well and I've seen the movie "Ochi Tchorniye", this Russian romance is very popular. very beautiful!
PhantomOfTheOperas, do you happen to have a longer version of this video? because I've herd one before and it's soooo perfect, before singing ochi tchroniye they sing Andrew Lloyd Weber's "memory" and after caminito they sing "la vie en rose".
If you have one or you think you can get it, please upload it.....
