My original feelings about the meaning of this song, were that JA is singing to Jesus or God, and saying how he would apologize for the way mankind behaves. picturing Jesus in the sun wondering what went wrong with mankind.... the opening verse being about the disjointed relationship between Jesus and the aveage person.....i now know that this song is about a girl who left hime, but honestly i like my take on it better.... If you find your own way, how much will you find?

I believe Mutter means 'mother' in German :-D Craig was SOOO proud to be part German. He had a German flag and took German in high school.  His friend who is in Germany now...I asked her how she became interested in studying German and she said, "I guess it was because of Craig", which made me feel so good that he had that influence on her in life and how far she's gone with her studies. It would be so great if you could come to America...don't give up!!

I have loved this song for about 7 years and still haven't got tired of it. I've been to hell and back, suffering from depression and a very bad suicide attempt. But I've made it, and this songs reminds of everything and how far I have come, and how I will never be alone. He was a beautiful spirit :)) I will see him again one day and until that day, you are right, he is always with me. He was a REAL BOY, once upon a time. I live in Florida and when I am at the beach I am the closest to him.
