  • my grand-father always singed that song.... im romanian... i asked him many times what is hapenned in 2th war... by his answers seems to be and endles chain of political errors. The armyes slowly turned into a mass of frightned/exalted muppets.PROPAGANDA inflicted more damage then any other things

  • whi dont sing about the moldavians girls ho rape them ??

  • @catalinsaftoiu It wasnt only rapes !!! it was just a very difficult period for both sides :(still.the facts remains:( and the beatifull songs too :)

  • @catalinsaftoiu You should hear what marrocans donned to Italian womens.... Seems another level of terror to me! far more merciless..wikipedia.Marocchinate

  • I don't care this song is communist or propaganda.I just love this song. Also i am not russian.

  • @Tomoesong Lol, it's singing about a Moldovian girl who gathers grapes, I don't know why people assume the music that the Red Army Choir sings is communist propaganda(obviously not this version).

  • lovely song!

I adore Russian music and would love to learn the language. They have Russian language books at my Library. if only I could find my card...........

  • Mä oon Suomesta. Kauneinta on laskea mäkeä jäätyneellä ryssällä, mut sitä ennen niiden laulua on kiva kuunnella. Jannut rutistaaa kurttua komiasti, äänet soi ja tytöt on kauniita- enen kuin niistä tulee ylipulleita, äkäisiä baabushkoita.

Venäjä on ihana naapuri, kotikyläni on nykyään rajan vääräl puolel.

  • nice try, but how would you compare this communist song with any tradirional romanian song from moldova?!

  • @gaesti12 smuglyanka MOLDOVAnka

  • Does this translate into, "Smuggle the yanka into Moldova?"

  • @Grundalizer HAHAHAHA not even Close lmao

  • It is rubbish that in russian songs just angry words about politic. Just the person who don't enderstend this languege can tell that stupidity.

  • ya v detstve pel etu pesnu, horoshaya pesnya

  • 0:24 I'm in love. This girl has the most beautiful smile in the world.

  • 0:25 moi fermosa!! :)

  • Always in Russian music on youtube we find such angry words of politics in the comments. Can't you just enjoy the music and not turn everything into politics?

  • @TonicMike

NO! This Song is so GREAT BECAUSE IS CREATED BY COMUNIST DREAMERS For Comunist Dreamers!

    Ponimaesh eta, tii blqd?

  • @survivedotname Я понимаю.

  • @TonicMike saldly that is people's nature, cannot enjoy simple things in life

  • +10

  • You who have a problem with this song, mainly romanians, you SUCK. This is music. PERIOD!

  • @JapManc Stalin's Soviet Union stole a whole quarter (mostly the current Moldova) from my country Romania, but I can definitely enjoy a nice song used in a propaganda film, where this very takeover act is transfigured into a Russian soldier's infatuation for an attractive woman from Moldova (historically it was more of a rape). I bet they can come up with a sweet love song even about the Katyn massacre.

  • @JapManc Thats the spirit man. History is to be learned from, not repeated by continuing the accusations against people who where not even alive at the time. Folks are just folks, and a lovely song is a lovely song. :)

  • dobra piosenka prawdziwa przynajmniej

  • Being a Romanian myself, I see no reason for all this hate. This is simply a beautiful song that I think everyone can enjoy.

  • i dont understand everything but i love the sound of the voices :)

  • classic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

  • Beautiful song!:)Greetings from Hungary!!!

    Fuck romanian nationalist.

Thanks for the great Soviet Union:):)

  • I watch videos like this and wonder why there ever was even a Cold War. People are all unique, yes, bet we are all people. Look at those soldiers eyes. Do they look like devils? No! They look like any other young man the world over! Take them out of a Soviet uniform and have them sing in English and they could just as easily be Americans. I do not agree in the least with communism, but there is no need for individual hate! We are all the same really. Humans who live in the same planet.

  • @EMT308 I just don't understand why Soviet Soldiers had to look like devils??? They freed many people from the nazis!!! And if it were in my power, I would returned Soviet Union and the communism as well.

  • @EMT308 ...

  • @makc1227 Is that saying "words of gold?"

  • @EMT308 My great grandfather was captured. Passed through the prison camp. He was released by the Americans. After that he lived 30 years in Australia. He had even kangaroo. He became a priest. When he was in England, personally knew the English lords. He was able to return to the Soviet Union only in the late '70s. And all this time, great-grandmother was waiting for him.

  • @EMT308 I would like to thank you for so kind response to this video. My grandfather fought. Went through the entire war. He could not without tears, watching movies about war. My grandmother's sister, the Nazis burned down, but she miraculously escaped.

  • I love the song and love the film even more! Does anyone know where I get the readable lyrics to the song as I can't read Russian?

  • This isn't a russian song! it's a hungarian folk music: Sej, haj akácfa hullatja a levelét"

  • Very strong movie. For those who don't know - the film devoted to soviet military pilots during the WWII. Strongly recommended to everybody who learns russian language. "В бой идут одни старики". Literary, "Only brown shoes (old-time professionals) are going to the battle"

  • Best Russian SONG ever :-)

  • @ThePavolgaspar Nie pravda! "Tiomnaia noch'" bot eta piesnia!

  • best song ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this song and love this clip! Now I want to see the film! Thanks

  • LOVE THIS MOVIE!

  • can any one tell me what is that movie? lovely...

  • @nandugopan i'm just watching it now... bolshoe spasiba...

  • @antbee77 : Preekrasna.. I am Indian not Russian; an Indian fascinated by Russia, her culture and her people.

  • @nandugopan Is this movie available with English subtitles?

  • To YatoubeGirl :

What you know about American , Canadian,........ or Austrian language ?

  • I am an American teenager with some Russian roots, and I was very surprised to hear this song. Such a great classic of the Red Army, and I was surprised to understand some words. How wonderful for you to share this, i had never understood where Smuglyanka came from until now.

  • Russia has some of the greatest love songs of all time.

  • really nice song, thank you for sharing it!....reading the comments what the hell is wrong with us eastern europeans?? I am one of them...but i never understood why we have soo much problems with each other. Maybe we will never be able to live in peace with each other? Come on forget bullshit, concentrate on good things..culture,food,drink ,music, women for the man-man for the women (or whatever you prefer) ehehe there are plenty of good things we have, maybe we could enjoy it.....

  • Forget the history u retards.

This is beatifull song, way better than all the new songs of world all plused in one!

The movie is great to, it says about the hard life in war, that can be upgraged with such music.... STFU U ALL

  • abazhayu etat filim!!

  • Thank you getnubigr for the lyrics of the song. Can anyone translate meaning to English....Just out of curiosity.

  • Eh...do you think those Slavic women wanted it? I can guarantee you that you fuckers raped and pillaged as well.

  • @MaoiMeowi2

just with the difference that our guys got punished if they were caught doing that while with the vicious commies it was something like a official policy.

"Use force and break the racial pride of these German women. Take them as your lawful booty. Kill! As you storm onward, kill, you gallant soldiers of the Red Army." —Jewish Soviet propagandist Ilya Ehrenburg

  • Yeah, but as Capitalists like to argue, "you can't change human nature". In this case, the desire for revenge, since a lot of those Red Army men had mothers, or sisters, or wives or girlfriends, etc. who had that happen to them. Just because they were punished doesn't mean it didn't happen.

...and how would you expect a Jew to treat Nazis? 'Oh, good day, Herr Fuhrer, could I get anything for you today'? Think.

  • @MaoiMeowi2

nazis.. bleh the leadership was evil nazis. the common soldiers were mostly drafted or professional soldiers. that "nazis" generalization is like calling all american soldiers imperialists, zionists or capitalist banksters just because their leaders are that

  • I knew you were going to say that. But you see, only the officers were Komsomols, all the enlisted men (the ones who did the majority of the rape and murder) were just drafted as well. So what's the difference?

  • @MaoiMeowi2

well germans have no official policy of mass rape of civilians ._.

thats just evil and decent people should condem it like war in general

  • Doesn't mean they didn't do it. But I agree about war, but sometimes it's necessary.

  • @happosai27

whatever! but the song is still great.

  • super pesnia !!!! liubliu ruskii narod e vseo ostolnoe !!

  • prekrasnaa

  • Hey, isn't music supposed to unite people? Beatiful song like so many Russian songs!

  • Forever in our memories!!!!

  • Not fascist idiot.

We were in Romania now because we are Romanians , not Russians.

  • @dive4y we are Moldavian !!!

  • Russians occupants.

This song is just another USSR propaganda.

    There were no Moldavian partisans.

    Death to Russia.

  • Why? It is better to be a Russian Pig always drunk and sleeping on the streets?

  • Comment removed

  • geez man, calm down

  • i don;t understand but nice songs,,,child memories when we were communists and allies,,,nice

  • i don't understand why some people are arguing about moldovan/romanian political questions in the comments for this video. why not just enjoy a beautiful song from a classic soviet war film. this song is not about politics, but about love during war. so let's all enjoy it!

  • You should understand that there was no partisans in Moldova.

This song is just a stupid propaganda.

  • One of my favourite songs - awesome old video!!

  • a tebe kakaia raznitza tupitza?

  • A very nice song. I don't get why all the animosity towards it from Romanians.

  • do you understand the text?

  • Why do you ask?

  • if you understand the text, then you can understand why Romanians have right when opposing this song.

  • Well, apparently it's about a Russian soldier that falls in love with a Moldavian girl who happens to be a member in a partisan brigade. What's so insulting about that?

  • just that Romanians think that there is as much a Moldavian nation as there is a Texan nation for example.

  • There were no partisans in Moldova. You should know that. This song is just another Russian propaganda

  • Political partisans existed in every country that participated in WW2. And I really doubt that the ethnically Russian, Ukrainian and Jewish populations living in Moldova at that time, had much love for the Romanian ruling regime.

One doesn't necessarily have to fight with a rifle in one's hand in order to be a partisan to a political ideology or regime.

  • Not Moldavinas, yes before the war there were some Russians (not so much like now). But you should understand that partisanca was Russian girl, not Moldovanca.

    This song is just propaganda

  • Comment removed

  • Why plausible? Partisans for what? Bolsheviks??

    In Moldova??

Between 1918-1940 there were no partisans and in one year of soviet rule they appeared.

    Fuck propaganda.

    Russian state is only propaganda.

  • @dive4y

Well it depends on what part of Moldova you're talking about. If we're talking about the territory known today as The Republic of Moldova then yes, there were left wing antifascist partisans operating there during the war. The Moldovan government even passed a law rewarding partisan fighters (check law 190-XV of 2003).

  • Yeah, Communist Government.

    Vorosca.

I had more ge3neral culture in 4 th class than Voronin at 60 years.

  • You should know that there was no war on the territory of Bessarabia because it was Romanian territory, an anti--Soviet fighter.

  • Comment removed

  • Oh really? It was, was it? And under what legitimacy did Romania claim that land? That land was a part of the Russian empire for more the a hundred years before Romania engulfed it. Also, the main partisan movements in wartime Ro activated in Bessarabia, although Ro had communist or other antifascist partisans operating in the Prahova Valley, Banat & Northern Transylvania.

  • You should know something about bessarabia before opening your mouth. There was no partisan movement in besarabia zero. Who fight for what? Remember that all jews were deported to Transnistria. Romanian administration was very efficient in combating crimes my grandma said.

    Legitimacy of claims:

    Same People (85%)

    Same language (100%)

    Same tradition (100%)

    Same origins (Daco-Romans)

Part of Historical part, Moldova, which was the creator of modern Romania.

    Romanians are not Russians

  • @dive4y: just to be clear, you are a complete moron. how is the question of romanian/moldovan politics at all relevant to this song? the song is about a soviet soldier falling in love with a moldovan girl serving in the soviet army. now what is wrong with this? can't you handle a simple war-time love story?

now before you start criticizing russia too much, you should understand that without russian natural gas, romania would freeze to death. how would you like that?

  • For Romanian history the nature of soviet propaganda is important. We should know our enemies.

  • dive4y: you should really get a life. one song is not going to change the course of history. every country engages in a bit of propaganda every now and then, and i personally prefer to see it in the form of a beautiful song. you've latched yourself onto the moldovan references in this song like a veritable parasite and refuse to let go. come and face reality. the soviet union is long gone, but what remains is its cultural legacy, much of it quite wonderful.

  • They were fighting to survive.

  • @Belamus

Moldova was included in russian because two drunk men ( Ribentrop and Molotov ) confused the Prut river with the Nistru river ! (votka !!! )

Masha is't a molldavian name and the molldavian speak Romanian!

But, the song is beautiful !

  • @valicoj not all moldavian speak romanian.... the most moldavian people speak russian and moldavian (and nor romanian 'cause our language is so different than romanian.... new our own worlds ,different accent ..etc.... a romanian should have subtitle to understand us !
