omg i love your apartment especially your kotatsu very cute hahaha lol also that would be very convenient for me in the winter lol hope you feel better hehe :)
I don't understand.... in the U.S do people not take off there shoes when they enter someones home?
This is just mind-boggling to me, I live in Toronto, Canada and i have never heard of people leaving there shoes on when they enter anyone home EVER! They always take them off at the door... plz explain.
@smellyface101 Only some people require that you take off your shoes in the States. Depends on your family. Mine never did. Nor most of my friends. I had a few friends whose mother's required you take off your shoes to protect the carpets...but not because it was considered incredibly rude and insulting not to do so. We also wore our shoes at school, in the gym, outside, and in our homes with no need to remove them. (Unlike here where there are separate shoes for each.)
Did you celebrate Thanksgiving? I'm spending the fall in Oslo, Norway, and all I could do for it was call home. ;_; Very sad. Are there Japanese that like to celebrate it, or was it just something you whipped together?
Yeah, Thanksgiving is not a big holiday in Japan. They've caught onto Valentine's, Halloween and Christmas (although none of them are quite..."right"...)
I'm lucky, there are quite a few Americans at my workplace so we decided to get together this weekend to throw a party. Cooking the turkey is quite a pill however!
