If they make a rome total war 2 make the Egyptians from the Ptolemaic dynasty with greek inspired hoplites, and on the campaign, custom and multiplayer you should be able to have a maximum of 500,000 men, the ability to control your allies, more historically accurate units in army with correct uniform, more cities and factions on campaign map like Epiros, Republic of Rome, replace Thrace with Getae, Kingdom of Bactria, Alexanders' Macedonian Kingdom etc better graphics

@AntonioRules99 Actually, quite a few things can be added/improved. For starters, naval battles to be fought manually rather than forcing you to save before battles that are must-win yet the AI decides that you lose. Change stats for quite e few units, e.g. Germans must NOT be allowed to fight as phalanx because they never actually did that. Introduce Illyrians because they were not subjugated by Rome for quite a while. Make ROMAN missile machines a lot more accurate as they historically were.

They can make Rome the most realistic game and give the Hellenics the standard phalanx and leave only the Macedonians with the Macedonian phalanx and make Roman cav 2 times more expensive and Roman legionaires and Triarii have 2 times more men than Urbans and Praetorians but it won't be a fun game then.

That wouldn't work very well since it was during the 20th century in which the way wars were fought changed drastically. WWI was fought in trenches, WWII was fought in urban environments with automatic weapons and so have all the wars since. The Total War series works so well because they take place in times when troop placement and movement was actually divisive in battles. Modern wars are all about who fires the most bullets at the other side.

These songs sound absolutely AMAZING on a good speaker system. The bass in it and the beats just add so much suspense during a battle and make the battle itself so intense, especially during momemnts like 1:13. I love to listen to those drums while my roman legions push battering rams up to a gate with the rest of my legions marching behind in testudo formation. IT'S BEAUTIFUL.

Yeah, the only way I've found to take them on in that Siege of Sparta historical battle is to hit 'em fast and hard with slingers. They get wasted pretty badly. Otherwise, they're like Greek's version of the Urban Cohort.

Yeah, the historical battles are pretty fun - I played one that the Romans historically lost and I won, and was like "what did these guys do wrong!?". Next I played one that the Romans historically won and I got my ass handed to me thoroughly. :P

The Praetorian Guard should've been more powerful, Urban Cohorts are just a Paramilitary force. Praetorian Guards consisted of the best soldiers from the Legions.

Greek Armoured Hoplites are the best unit in the game, They stand where they stand and IF there phalanx is broken, they can easily beat any foe whit swords aswell!

I wish they were, but Urban Cohorts overpower them.

Even fighting the phalanx head on, the Urban Cohort tends to win. Then taking into account how weak the phalanx is when flanked and its general lack of mobility (in phalanx), the Urban Cohorts win hands down.

@Spoonarithm aye, just happned to me 5 minutes ago. About 2 Sacred Bands and 7 Poienei INfantry engaged my two Urban Cohorts who had like no support, everything else focused on the enemy that was swarming me. When I looked back, all the phank untis were dead, or near dead and routed freeing me to do a counter attack.
