Why does the guy say there is redundancy and there are 2 fibre optical cables? One of them is for receiving data and one is for sending data so obviously there isn't any backup.
@iceflyevents But if one of the two connections go dark, the remaining connection goes bi-directional. Other more likely scenario, the two wires are basically a ring/loop. One goes dark, the loop still see's light coming from the other way, and also triggers a condition alarm about loss of laser/light on the fiber.
@phattieg Yes and no. I believe it has to be configured to allow bi-directional (Half Duplex) over one fibre core (The end equipment would have to support it aswell).

correction. I get "up to" 20mbps down, but the actual speed is around 15mbps down. Still fast.

i have 20mbps down and 1mbps up with my ADSL2 here in Norway. Cost me about 70 USD a month.
