The white guy did the smart thing by staying calm and playing along. If he had tried to fight back then Byfield would've just called his partners in and beaten him down. They would've then called the cops and lied that the white guy assaulted them. Since the white guy was drunk, it's pretty unlikely the cops would've even bothered listening to his side of the story.

There is maybe a lesson here for the customer, though. If you're going to drink in a bar or nightclub, make sure it's a place you can trust before you get smashed or flash too much of your money. He was pretty hazy and incoherent during his interrogation by the bouncer, and if you're intoxicated in a shady establishment, crooks are more likely to mess with you and the cops are less likely to believe you.

He was pretty hazy and incoherent during his interrogation by the bouncer, and if you're intoxicated in a shady establishment, crooks are more likely to mess with you and the cops are less likely to believe you.
