  • These are so short...!

  • Black guy breaks into a house, steals stuff, then watches TV? Seriously?

  • 1 borg cube would have put an end to the V's as well as the humans

  • @ODDNOMAD You forgot the mothership can be turned into a thermo nuclear weapon that can destroy the earth...

  • 4:18 that old man was the truth

  • ... did that guy just steal a flower pot? :P

  • ahhh Howard K Smith who was featured reporting a lot in the V the Series eps of course lol.

  • Since you all watched this show, did any of you watch Doctor Who also, And how well would the visitors and the Daleks fair against each other?

  • @Timelord90 hmmm... The Daleks are a lot harder to kill and can kill from farther away. But the Vs are bigger in number, so it might be a pretty even fight. Probably the Vs would win in the end... Now, if it were between Vs and Cybermen... the Cybermen would pwn V butt. ;D

  • @PaddySnuffles you i once thought about Doctor Who/ V crossover, the Vistors wud form an aliance with the Silurians & Sea Devils The Master wud be in on it but it be disovered that the Daleks (reseiving desstres call from earth are) league with the v's The Timelords also reseive the message from earth so they send some of their agents infultrate which wud explaine why Diana & her people wud want arrest so many sciantist

  • @PaddySnuffles the Borg would have owned them all

  • 3:23 Dominique Dunne's only shot in the V Miniseries. She was Killed by her ex boyfriend by strangulation. She was cast as Robin, but the tragedy left the role vacant, and Blair Tefkin was given the role to replace her. She was best known for her role as Dana Freeling in 1982's Poltergeist by Stephen Spielberg.

  • So just where was the military during the rest of the series, did they get taken out or did something else happen?

  • @Timelord90 They were under House Arrest.

  • Worst..... acting..... EVER!

    lol

  • @Karvante haha haha haha haha SO FUNNY, HAHHAAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAH AHAHA ZOMG EVER

  • Haha, love how the only black character is robbing a house. Good old fashioned 1980's racism! *rolls eyes*

  • @bridesheadtube apart from the one that is a scientist of course

  • @bridesheadtube well actually there were 3. The one you mentioned (Elias); Ben (his brother - who turned the tv on in the room where Julie and the doctors were); and their father (Caleb Taylor).

  • What the... "Missiles fired..." Why on earth would one of the first diplomatic actions with ET's be to fire missiles at them?

  • I think this serie all movies now copied...

  • A long time ago I´m looking for this series, since I was in Juina, MT, in 80´s. I didn´t see all chapters because TV didn´t work very well.

    Very, very good.

    Carlos Martinez - Curitiba Paraná.

  • lol wow I was so young them times need to re-watch everything i remember being addicted and scared... thank goodness the black man in the new one isn't a teef lol how far we have come :)

  • Ray Bradbury on with Arthur Clarke. I love it.

  • Dominique Dunne filmed scenes playing Robin Maxwell but she was killed during filming. I heard the director kept in a shot her from behind in the final film. SO IS THAT HER AROUND 3:33?

  • @bawireman

yo dumbass.... did you notice they had a black scientist working in the lab? The reality is there were a lot more black burglars out there than black scientists. So shut your soup cooler, fool. At least a black man was depicted as an educated professional being a scientist.

  • @luscious9lips

You're an idiot. I guarantee they wouldn't depict it the same way if this show was made today.

  • Aren't they all? Lol...Just kidding. People are too dam sensitive.

Get a life. Niggers, honkeys, white trash, spics, wops, greasers, Fags andlesbians...we are all human beings.

  • Lord, the minute that douchebag said "It's fantastic", I knew he was going to some Judas damage. I LIVED for this series back when I was a kid. SO good.

  • It's interesting that it would be him, considering his grandfather was in a concentration camp.

  • perfect intro for Mrs. Donovan too

  • I wonder if that was Hera they were digging up at the beginning:-)

  • 1:32 - Great Foreshadow Shot with Human Skull and Mother Ship

  • I don't think it is fair to say that it is stealing the plot from Childhood's End, it's more like paying homage to it. Besides, in Childhood's End the aliens were benevolent and very inhuman looking. almost opposite of the Visitors.

  • lol I remember when I was a kid and watched the black guy without realizing he was committing a robbery. All I thought to myself is he had an odd way to enter back to his house to watch his television XD

  • Lol yeah me too :-D

  • LOL, omg thats hilarious.

  • lol

  • Kenneth Johnson wrote this entire script in iambic pentameter, the rhythm is ever-present.

  • It's funny that Eleanor Dupree is like, "I didn't hit her, she was coming straight at me, I didn't hit her," but Eleanor was TOTALLY on the wrong side of the road!

  • there should be an exact animated version of this, it would be like watching a whole new V!

  • You imagine if that really happend!?!

  • No. The city is Port-au-Prince, in Haiti.

  • Now i know where the producers for movie Independence Day got their idea !!!

  • What city is that at 3:46?

  • To Godzillaman: The location is actually Long Beach, California. The mothership is of the Los Angeles destination (Diana's ship.)

  • I remember the breakdancing era of V =D

  • LOL, black guy's a robber.

  • Notice the symbolism at 1:40, where the skull is in the foreground, appearing to be "giant."

Were not the Nephelim the giant race that many of us are descended from, whose skeletons are still found to this day?

  • To MrDuffy81: The skull in the foreground is a foreshadow of death and the dark imminence about to brought to humankind.

  • I was too young to watch this on Tv and I'm glad someone has gone to the effort of posting the vids...

  • Look, it's London! Oh, and there's a colossal flying saucer hovering above it.

  • Ray Bradbury & Author Clark??

  • ha! its Howard Smith on TV! Later on he'd be the anchor for the Freedom Network.

    "Our Hopes are with You!"

  • Did anyone else notice "scary Geman guy" from the Monster Squad reacting to the saucers?

  • so the token black guy is a burglar, but where is the LAPD to beat him?

  • 1:52 Now what's wrong with this picture?

  • Making your african-american character the petty thief or did I miss something else?

  • Notice how the UFO's dont give of a shadow lol

  • Yes, they were very basic computer graphics back then, and the people did not really pay attention to detail like we do today.

  • if a race were advanced enought to have developed technology to traverse the universe, then it is highly doubtful that they would want much to do with us. They would probably have survived their technological revolution and would be much more advanced. Still, this series is awesome given it was made in the 80s.

  • SEE DAVID ICKE REPTILIANS

  • look at the animals going crazy they know its the fallen ones coming- nothing but pure evil just like whats happening now today.

  • shut up!

  • crazy fuckturd

  • I thought it was humorous that Julie says that Dan Rather lost his voice. I know many that have wished that over the years.

  • lol @ about 2:20

    The informed theft pro lol

  • I love what Happens to Daniel in the Novel, he gets made into supper.

  • I JUST BOUGHT the series after this one. I was so upset that I didn't get this one first. But its not disappointing. I ordered this first series on DVD can't wait to get it. Thanks every so much for posting this. HUGS

  • It's messed up that one of the hand full of black guys had to be breaking into someones house! lol At least one is a professional though! :)

  • Cross reference this movie with the G.I. Joe movie, david icke material, and Sitichin's material, and tell me if it's all coincedental....

  • George Bush is a reptile in disguise...thats why he is in favour of global warming! LOL.

  • I agree =)

  • That's a good one. LOL!! Although, I have found out recently, and I still quiver in horror at the thought, I'm distantly related to both President Bush's (both 41 & 43; something like 5th cousins once removed, we share w/ 43 a great-great-grandfather in Prescott Bush through my maternal grandmother).

  • Impressive effect for an early 80's TV show. Great series this, still enjoyable today

  • Was this show always this short on Tv?

  • Just like the US Air Force to fire missiles at a UFO first. I have to agree with Spanishrage, our species is the most dangerous on this planet, instead of trying to live together with our differences (which I believe makes us human) we destroy others who are "different" and cause war around the planet (which makes us animals). Great series though!

  • You can see where the idea for "Independence Day" came from....

  • And you can see that "V" stole the idea from the novel "Childhood's End" by Arthur C. Clarke, which also has hundreds of alien ships hovering over the world's cities. That book was written about 30 years before "V". In this clip, they even acknowledge that when one of the characters says "Ray Bradbury was just on (the TV) with Arthur Clarke".

  • The REAL inspiration for V was the rise of the Nazi party in Germany, although a crib here or there would be likely. And it's cool that they gave credit where it was due.

  • It had everything

the uniform, the logo, the friendly approach at first, by the time we knew their intentions it wasy too late because we allowed them to get so strong, the systematic genoicide, the human collabotars, the underground resistance in the occupied territory, I could go on forever

  • Not really stealing any ideas here I think. I mean its an alien invasion. That be like stealing an idea to write about WW2 or a film featuring a good cop/bad cop.

  • There are many ways a fictional alien invasion can be portrayed. The part that was stolen was the novel "Childhood's End" was the set-up of saucers appearing and ominously hovering for days or weeks without letting their intentions be known over Earth's cities. "V" copied this plot point from the late Arthur C. Clarke's novel, and even acknowledged this by alluding to him in the script, including the plot device of the UN speech and the aliens.

  • Hmmm, guess I stand corrected. I'll have to pick that up soon as I'm done reading Jordans "Wheel of Time" series.

  • It's actually a great book--a true classic, and IMHO Clarke's best.

Besides the analogy I made--not too much else in it has much resembling "V", though.

  • Well, this should not be considered such a far-fetched event....it could happen any day, who knows?. Anyway, I think that the most dangerous "species" lives here on earth already, not in distant planets. It´s the human race...no doubt about it, right?
