People seem to have forgotten the reason the Union won was because of overwhelming odds in one of if not the first modern version of total warfare. Had the war been fought in the traditional manner, one could easily hypothesize the Confederate States could have held their own.

One of, if not the biggest reason for Union victory was Grant's decision to just use his numbers to overwhelm the South.

Also would have helped if the Confederates didn't kill one of their best Generals by accident.

I have this speech on my Confederate record album. I forget how old it is but it is very old and smells musty. It has alot of really neat period music on it.
