  • Let's go have a drink and smoke a cigarette.

  • my friend said this was stupid and boring but i liked it and even laughed alot. what does this mean? o.O

  • @JesusManPowerKick it means you need a new friend.

  • It's a visual masterpiece, everything about it is stunning. wes anderson definitely is a genius. but again visual elements, are unbelievable, composition of every shot is unbelievable creative, and passionate. there's this amazing vibe throught the movie..wes anderson is a pure genius, and this movie is a masterpiece. it's a classic in a rear window sort of a way.

  • @talash6 that's what I thought, Hindus and Buddhist seem like the most hospitable hosts on the planet. The service industry in India is the best n the world. I can't wait to go, do u know any of the religious sites in this film?

  • @CharlieALabtech buddhists maybe...but hindus? thats 800 million people - all different. the service industry in india is definitely not the best in the world - experience. darjeeling limited doesnt show you what india s like! you couldnt wear suits in a 38 degrees environment! the religious sites in the movie are just regular temples you find everywhere. the main ones would probably be golden temple (amritzar) for the sikh and all ghats around varanasi (the ganges river).

  • @BackpackerBerlin i have been to amritsars golden temple magical place. I was living in a indian family. :) that was amazing xp.

  • @TheSpeckofdust ..fuck ur mother ..u mother fucker..ass hole...apmi ma chuda khad k //bhn k lode...ur mom fucking with dog..u americans.....u fuck ..stinks......ma k lode....

  • @anmol558 hahaha sahi kaha bahi lol thanks for the laugh.

  • haha this movie is wierd as fuck

  • Just wanted to let you know that I used this video in my review for the film. Thanks!

  • @talash6 can't we get them to stop destroying the beautiful countryside for quick cash?!? I mean don't they want to keep tourists coming or not

  • is that my belt?

  • How much would it cost to travel India in such an awesome fashion? I'm sure it would be cheap(vs renting cars, hotels, going to expensive resort areas), but is it doable? Would you see such picturesque areas or would it be going through so much of India that has beenindustrialized, mined, highway strewn, air pumped full of chemicals, and just ruined? PS I know many people have been lifted out of poverty,or at least that's repeated a lot, but much of the country IMO is being destroyed to get "rich"

  • @talash6 or princess*

  • @CharlieALabtech And yeah it will not going to cost you more because 1 dollar is actually 43 or 45 rupees, yeah if you ever did travel to india,do not generalise everyone, there are every type of people so,just be careful there Except that you wil going 2 love indians and india,It is just a new world,The culture, the people, the religion, the costume, the food, everything just makes it so colorful and unforgettable. And yeah hurry up,as u know industrialisation s on rise, they r destroying rural areas.

  • @CharlieALabtech Well,I've lived n india 4 like 17 years so i can tell u that u r totally right bt u know u can totally search your inner self in d rural india,u will get everything you have seen in this movie there.I guarantee you that indians r very amiable & will treat you like prince or princess,I swear that,But yeah people are getting rich and it;s developing but after that too indians treat their guests as god.Yeah u will nt going 2 see all that in metropolitian cities or town in india

  • @talash6 treat you like a prince! and then expect exactly that kind of money from you, dude! no offense

  • @CharlieALabtech And yeah mostly people know english there but yeah in rural area you will going to have some problem. If you want to know everything,Just ask.:))

  • @cityofwhat has some good comedic moments

  • Mixed feelings about this, definitely has some good aspects

  • wtf

  • so fucking great. gets me everytime

  • There's a weird part of me that loves Rushmore and Royal Tenenbaums so much, that I want so much from this film... I know I'll never get it.

Intellectually I know The Life Aquatic is funny, surprising and beautiful... and above all has an honest emotional quality to its funniness, its surprise and its beauty, like the first two films ... but there was something lacking.

I need to see this film before I make a decision, but it still feels like I'll not get that same magic. And that makes me sad

  • @SethHesio I *am* talking about The Darjeeling Limited.

  • @SethHesio I think Tennenbaums and Rushmore are better movies than this one, yet this gives me a completely different feeling from the other two and is in its own way so beautiful and original. Definitely watch it even if you don't like it as much there's way too much great stuff in it to overlook.

  • @SethHesio This was the first Wes Anderson film I ever saw and it's still my favourite...the comedy is even more subtle than his other films but it's really relaxing and laid back, and honest as well. it's definitely the most beautiful of all his films.

  • @surfingbananas good for you.this was the first if his films... which did you watch after?

  • @SethHesio Bottle Rocket, which was his first, then the Royal Tenenbaums

  • Great movie

  • What's the name of song starting in 1:11?

    Thanks in advance.

  • @MrElwood2 Strangers by The Kinks

  • amazing soundtrack

  • It's an amazing movie. Truly

  • i just love this fuckin' movie

  • i love this movie. i was just in india this year, and was listening to this soundtrack on the trains.

  • Hands down Wes Anderson's finest work!

  • rubby is the funniest nickname ever.

  • mmmm Adrien Brody

  • i would like to watch this, ty

  • Can you actually take a trip like this? I would love to take one in India!

  • @MossyKong you have to have a LOT of money.... but you can...

  • "What's wrong with you?"

    "Let me think about that."

  • just watched it on Film4.

    it's interesting & funny

  • I watch it over and over again, it never gets old

  • @klaksu612 yesssssss :D

  • jewish men are so sexy

  • what was the meaning of the feather?

  • 45 people just don´t appreciate good movies.. oh the humanity!

    love this movie :3

  • Great movie, for me it's Anderson's best

  • One of my favorite movies, the funniest part in the movie is where Francis takes off his bandages think he's going to be healed, unwrapping a new Francis but the scars are still there that was Classic.

  • I wish real life was like a Wes Anderson movie.

  • @raskolnikovsulysses I think its movies are actually that touching 'cause way nearer of real life than a whole bunch of flicks out there.

Isn't our life full of our own symbols? Of ''correspondances''?

  • @raskolnikovsulysses if you go to india you'll see that it can be...

  • @raskolnikovsulysses if you go to india you'll see that it can be...

  • @raskolnikovsulysses I think you'll agree that it actually is from time to time.... you just have to appreciate those moments when they happen.

  • @raskolnikovsulysses All you need is a trust fund, father/son issues, neuroses, and an imagination :)

  • what is that first songggggggggg???? i cant find it anywhere..not the kinks but the first indian song

  • @sydebewbzgigity its called Charus Theme :)

  • @sparklinganderson yeah i got it. did some researchin haha.. makes a boss ringtone

  • Awesome movie, beautiful soundtrack...and I'm in love whit Adrien Brody :)

  • beatiful soundtrack

  • hey guys, do you knwo the name of the song at 00:43???

    its soo cool!

  • @abadir90 this time tomorrow-the kinks

  • fuck yes...three songs of the kinks on the soundtrack

  • how could a train be lost its on rails

  • the first time i saw this movie, when i saw rolling over the end credits i was like: "WTF? that was all? i want to see more!"

It is simply a great movie

  • @stranget92

Yeah....i know me too, i wanted the story to continue! :O :)

  • gotta love wes anderson

  • love this movie. it reminds me of my sisters, we are very distant and not close at all. I wish I could have a journey like in the movie.

  • the thing that makes this film so clever is the fact that its use of comedy is very realistic. its not too over the top and stupid like you usually see.

  • The funniest bit of this trailer is when Owen Wilson says 'i guess we came on a spiritual journey...but that didnt really pan out'. Sounds like a lot of western tourists who think they will have some spiritual awakening when they come to India but they get something else entirely.

  • Oh God, I hate Owen Wilson! Though the movie sounds quite good...

  • @kukujumi

i know i don't like either owen wilson.but you really have to see the movie.it's awsome!

  • this is a really underestimated film.i love it,it's one of my favourites but noone from the people i know have herd about darjeeling!!wes aderson is great.

  • @mairhmairoula123 'heard' for the love of Christ!

  • Owen Wilson looks exactly like Jewess Gabrielle "post-shooting" Giffords in this movie. 'Cept he can walk and talk. I think Sarah Palin's Down Syndrome baby should take over Giffords' congressional seat until she's un-coma'd. The Constitution says all politicians should be equal to the ones they fill in for. Governor Gibbons's wife filled in for him after she pushed him off that horse and he ended up paralyzed and stuck in a wheelchair. Or was that Superman?

  • @etbella3 No, Superman, aka Christopher Reeves, fell off that roof and died. No, that was FORMER Nevada Governor Kenny Guinn - he died with his roof shingles stuck to his shoes. And the only reason Governor Gibbons's wife pushed him off that horse was because he goosed that Las Vegas cocktail waitress. Speaking of cock, Nevada Senator Ensign placed his federal cock into a woman he paid with his mustangs-for-meat slush fund. And he is a veterinarian who could be selling all those euthanized dogs.

  • Is that like albino? .... Uhm, Not really.

  • well i just smashes my face into the side of a hill

  • Did you just fuck that Indian girl?

  • Wes Anderson is my reason for living.

  • I started off watching this movie hating it. By the time it was over I had fallen in love with it.

  • Brendan: Why are your eyes so red?

Francis: Why is your head so bald?

  • @RYANL22 it's so funny, because he was the one who suggested nobody mention the hair condition since he would be sensitive about it. such subtle comedy which makes it great.

  • @rhombusskullvsteal Yeah I love this movie.

  • I think haters are more shallow and close-minded than what how they think that Anderson is.

I wouldn't call him the filmmaker of our generation, NO, but his movies are A LOT better and funnier than any Hollywood garbage. Besides you shouldn't take his movies too seriously, they are made to be fun and laugh at life.

All the characters (even though I find it elitist) in his movies may be shallow, egocentric and rich, but the story behind them it's not. It's just their way to face the real world.

  • This movie sucks. It shows the shallow red neck culture of this arrogant dude the director and that prick the actor and co-writer. Life aquatic had the same arrogant ill conceived idea, making mockery of the great Jacques Cousteau. The Royal Tenenbaum was the only movie he's made that was ok.

  • oh yeah this looks good...ohh..wooahh AWOOOWW HOLY FUCK IS THAT THE KINKS :O

  • @dpthomas37

    1. the life aquatic

    2. darjeeling

    3. fantastic mr. fox

100%. This is the third night in a row i've got baked and watched it, keep falling asleep though, hence the multiple nights lol

  • @sep800wastakenwtf ha ha i do exactly the same thing! i love this film

  • I don't know what it was, but this movie affected me in a very deep way. I loved it because it's focus was on brotherhood and cementing that brotherhood, rather than any generic plot. This is one of my favorite Wes Anderson movies. if i had to pick, it would be:

    1. the royal tenenbaums

    2. rushmore or darjeeling limited

    4. bottle rocket

    5. fantastic mr. fox

    6. steve zissou

    what about you guys?

  • @dpthomas37 would be my order luv them all bottle rocket is my fav tho

    1.bottle rocket

    2. the royal tenenbaums

    3. darjeeling limited

  • Just watching the trailer makes me emotional... I love this movie.

  • 44 people haven't located us yet....

  • i wish bill murray made it on that train!

  • like it a lot :o)

  • i have this on dvd i love this movie!

  • this is the year Owen tried to kill himself :(

  • What song is in the very beginning of the trailer? Before the two Kinks songs.

  • It has the Kinks' music in it, now I really want to see the film!

  • wes anderson must have some kind of cocknose fetish.

  • yes he indeed does. just look at brody and wilson here. its a sausage (nose) party. anyway the reason im posting is to tell you a little known fact. wes anderson actually guest directed a portion of the seminal deuce bigalow 2. thats right my friends he directed the quirky and off beat cock nose segment of that rob schneider classic. how do i know this? rob schnieder and me are drinking buddies, and he told me how wes anderson just loves cock nose and bit robs hand off to do that scene.

  • how can a train be lost its on rails lol

  • this film looks amazing, have to see it

  • soundtrack is soooo good!

  • This movie was so good, it was almost a life changing experience for me.

  • Hey look, Max grew a moustache

  • A fine movie. I hadn't been to a movie in years. A good friend of mine took me to it. I really enjoyed it. Western bumpkins trying to commune with Eastern culture.

We were both blown away to hear 2 lesser-known Kinks songs were used in this movie : "This Time Tomorrow" and "Strangers". Both from their amazing album "Lola Vs Power Man & The Money Go Round."

  • hahahaha they are sos os nice ...gorgeous....!!!

  • "Did I... raise us?"

  • I know that Wes Anderson uses songs by the Kinks a lot ... but to use them for a movie about brothers is esp. cool!

  • The Criterion edition comes out the 14th, I'm already there buying it...or in my mind I am.

  • Love this movie!!! I already forgot how good this movie was, I was just recently reminded that this is actually one of the best movies I've seen.

  • Notice how they have ugly noses... lol

  • @0ddzZz hey....adrien's nose is his distinctive feature...its not ugly

  • when I'm down, I always watch this film. It really helps. :)

  • Someday maybe I'll do something like this. Not with my brother cs he's shit, but maybe with a couple of friends.

  • I so love Jason Schwartzman. I also love Adrien Brody. Owen Wilson too.

  • jason schwartzman

  • I wish i can do something likc this with my brother!

  • For me, this movie was life-changing.

  • great use of colors in all his movies. very unique

  • sweet lime...lol...:)

  • gd moviee

  • "I Love you too, but im gonna mace you in the face!"

  • I love this film to death. It makes me sad, though, because I see the Whitman brothers becoming close and they remind me almost exactly of my own three older brothers. I see that and I think I'll never be as close to them as they are to each other.

  • I love this movie. It's one of my favorites.

  • This movie is about brothers repairing their relationship. I wonder how an only child views this film.

  • This movie is so beautifully shot.

  • @morchie717 christ i know... Literally all of wes andersons films are really really beatiful shots... All of them

  • I've got a question... what happened to your face?

  • I looooove movies like this, (500) days of summer or Little miss sunshine.

Can anyone give me other movie suggestions that i might like?

  • @madcowdeseasman Someone recommended Stranger Than Fiction to me, in a YouTube comments section, and he/she was right on. Adaptation was wonderful, too : )

  • @madcowdeseasman yes watch stranger than fiction

  • @madcowdeseasman You might like I Heart Huckabees and Me and You and Everyone We Know...good stuff.

  • @madcowdeseasman -Have you seen Bottle Rocket? One of my all time favorites. Of course, anything by Wes Anderson. Try the Fantastic Mr. Fox too!

  • God save the Kinks

  • "....Is that my belt?"

    "...Can I borrow it?"

    Love that part! XD

  • The scene at 1:17 is my absolute favorite. So bittersweet.

  • One of my favorite films. so different...

  • one of my favorite films of ALL time!!!!! I adore Wes Anderson!!

  • best movie ever

  • how is the song called at 0:10?

    wonderful movie

  • @camada14 "Charu's theme" It's on the soundtrack.

  • oh man, this looks amazing

  • I think the movie is awesome, owen wilson play a fantastic role in the movie.
