  • @wolfyys I don't fully agree. Some Supras make that amount of power but are only 3.0L (3.4L w/stroker kit). Most powerfull 2JZ-GTE's (Supra engine) I've seen with my eyes on an engine dyno were 1899bhp (3.0L) and 2041bhp (3.2L, not 3.4L). Both without the aid of nitrous. So in all for equivalent HP numbers I think it way more impressive for an I6 with 3.0L or 3.4L of displacement than a 8L V10. But I still have great respect for the Viper don't get me wrong.

  • @JayMark2049 I agree with that, its more impressive having seeing a 3.0L motor pump out 1899bhp, especially boost only than a 1000 hp v10. But the only thing is that's about as high as they'll get, as well as just over 2'k stroked. There are vipers putting 1800+ to the ground on half the boost and the stock block. I find that just as impressive.

  • @JayMark2049 well you dont seem to show it i know supras make a ton of power but its like the other guy sed they make the same power on a stockblock and half the boost but you know what you dont wanna mess wit a turbo supra or viper but vipers do make more power but it really is because of the difference in engine size because we know supras can make 2000 hp but we dont really know how far a viper can exactly go because theyre always on low boost with not everything done to the actual motor

  • @bigenginesismythang Sal P. 1750hp on mid boost, Lee Saunders 1200rwhp on pump gas, 2000 on kill, boost only now, Big red put 1800 to the rear wheels though the 6 speed. Any more than these and you'll just spin and crash, high hp vipers pump way too much unusable torque.

  • @bigenginesismythang That's Ricky's viper. It made 1700 on kill. If you notice at the beginning it said he was on what mid or low boost one of the two. Obviously not 1700 hp.

  • @bigenginesismythang a 2000 hp 3L motor won't last long at all. Say LPE's 1300hp TT vette, it can hot lap all day at the track and never have a problem. Of course they can turn the boost up and make an untold ammount of power, but why? And the Veyron? Why it only makes just over 980hp with such a motor? Once again reliability, that motor will never break, no matter what you do to it.

  • @bigenginesismythang Veyrons motor's are literally one of the finest crafted motors ever built, to argue that that motor won't last for as long as you even want to own the car is just stupid. What do you mean they break after 1400? LG put 1000 on the ground with the stock motor and ran 210 in the mile. I won't even bring in the LSX

  • @408Mustangs Not understanding is inderstandable. You'd have to know a good bit about the workings of that motor to do so. You can make twice the hp with a motor that size. First off though it doesn't make 1000whp. It makes around 980 hp. That 1001 is metric hp. How about this, go build a 1000hp mustang and try to make it across the country and back at that 1000hp power level. It won't happen.

This is a opinion, the reason why the viper won might have something to do w/ the amount of $ was sunk into the mods, and since the viper in NO WAY fallows upon inbred belief that all cars must be v8s and have at least some rust on them you don't really get to compare it to other American cars so it won because of better/more mods.

  • Funny fact is that the hayabusa owner spent much less to get it fast than the supra and viper. MUCH MUCH Less. That busa was probably only like $13k. It also takes way more balls to go that fast on a bike. Not trying to be a jerk, both the supra and viper are sick cars, just stating the facts.

  • There is no point to have that much power in a bike..the difference between moded bikes and cars is you can only put so much hp and tq in a bike before it comes irrelavant and actually hurts u because you can't keep the front tire on the ground.   • no thats the instinct in most cases. and to makke matters more confusing technically some toyotas and hondas are domestics. the big pickups from nissan and toyota are designed and built right here in north america. so the term import and domestic isnt as clear as it was say 20 years back. but u have to look at the mentality. usa is a huge country compared to japan. there the priority is maximum efficiency, here its just use the space theres lots of it. same principle goes for the cars.

  • i thought about that too. fords being made in canada and nissans in tennessee. either way, i'm not gonna argue in terms of quality and workmanship. in my opinion the new(08) VWs are actually about the best of price compared to quality. and VW is definately an "import" however u look at it. base model domestics do have a little ways to go to to meet (especially european) import standards

  • depends on how u look at it. lexus has put itself neck to neck with audi, and the two are dead head when it comes to build quality. the one thing i like about the jap technology over the euro ones is its so much easier to use while being just as advanced. i-drive is the sole reason i hate new bmws. i dont want to pick 12 different diff settings to get to work and back lol. so in luxo sedans imports are wayyy ahead. suvs. depends. hummer h1s are capable but unreliable. same with range rover.

  • the vipers interior isn't bad, and the 05+ mustang gt interior is better than the 350z's in my opinion, unless you get the grand touring 350z.

  • not for me i think the z is a bit better, but the new stang is considerably better for interior trim than the old ones. the z does have pretty bad interior tho. the vipers interior is pretty good, but the ride on that car is simply horrendous. its even worse than the c6 z06 now thats saying something. mind u the normal c6 is really nice tho.

  • @mcromance1 i think its the other way around, i like all cars including imports, i own a mk1 mr2 with a second gen turbo motor, but the problem is i always see a fully moded import vs stock muscle and when the import wins they say how japan build cars better then US when most imports are slow with out the mods, they put a blind eye on low 6 second muscle cars even 5 second muscle with 2,000 hp and up when moded

  • Yeah a bike normaly weighs any where from 450-600lbs.. So that fact is you put 200-300 hp into it and that bike would wax that viper hard. make it come back to its mom and cry...... viper had more power 3.69 to pound/hp ratio 2.69 bike power/hp ratio.

  • Not going to happen, your failing to take into account rider error, drag coefficient, and traction. There are many more factors than just power to weight. This is way a 300hp bike would still get walked all over by this viper.

  • I have watched full out drag bikes at the track and they run mid 7's. A Heffner street Viper ran 7.74. Pro stocks can run high 9's, top fuels run 4's.

  • Yeah they are two different concepts rather be in a car at 150+ but the bike had 600hp short of what the cars did. You give the bike prob 200 or 300 hp more and that bike would have spanked both of those cars. And does anyone else hate the fact that the V10 sounds like a well strung out 4 cylinder?

Ghostriders Busa will get eaten also, you can't keep the front end down until well over 160. If you want ghostriders busa, why not use SVS viper(2000hp.
