@Nygel36 Sorry, it was my fault. I wanted to ask if you loop specific parts of the tracks that playing, until the main song finishes. But i think i already found the answer on your video. As I 've noticed you use Traktor (simply the best). Kontrol X1 is ideal for such 4 Deck mixes.

Hi trevor, i was just wondering how to record the best quality mix i can ?..i have cdj 1000s, a basic mixer, macbook, traktor scratch pro, audio 8...and a spare laptop cheers and what would be the best way to record visual ?...thanks Trevor

@djmarcod212 we use a HD flip mounted above the setup, and then splice the audio track with the video in adobe premier aftwards. We try to keep it simple and raw, no fancy editing needed IMO

@djmarcod212 x-1 all the way. The xone: 1d is a GREAT controller, but lacks the LED feeback with lighting on what is happening in traktor. Nightclubs are dark, and its tough to see whats going on with the 1d, hence why I picked up the x-1's.. so that I can see what stuff is on and when. They are both great controllers, but IMO x-1 has taken the lead in the standalone midi controllers for traktor.

@iSkateBoard10 It will work, but youve have to get an audio card like audio 8 or audio 4 from NI. Otherwise the channels of traktor wont split up into two seperate channels in your mixer;)

@iSkateBoard10 The x-1's are midi devices, so they plug into your laptop via USB.. all it does is control traktor, it does not produce any sound. I misread your initial comment, I thought you said you WERE going to use traktor. If you do get a x-1, it does come with a "free" version of traktor called LE, which is fine for messing around on. You could even skip getting the mixer, and just play around on the x-1 and LE version of traktor :)
