Yes sir. When i got my 1st guitar it was a strat. I didn't think about sound that much though, it was just the most common type of guitar. And i remember when i was a kid, i saw some bad ass riffs played on a strat. Not tone wise, but i was amazed how easy it is for them and 'dude, this is some fast playing'. Now i came to love my strat, even tho it's a cheapo.
