  • chargeing for 5 seconds and see on yankee and they say fall back FALL BACK NOW

  • there not even takin any effort when they fall just gently go down on one knee and sit down. fake die with some pride men.

  • Walk five feet and it's a charge? That was stupid, as somebody who supports the Confederate Cause, I always thought a charge involved the following

30,000 confederates yelling at the top of their lungs

running while yelling at the top of their lungs

and dancing around while running and yelling at the top of their lungs. Not walking 5 feet, stopping, and yelling fall back !

  • One of my friends at reenacting charges the Confederate line and takes a hit in the middle of the battlefields and has a secret camera recording the rest of the battle.

  • Looks like a cornfiled, was this supposed to be Antietam?

  • hey if you are going to charge do it right that was advancing

  • what a shit charge

  • Were those Zouaves Wheat's Tigers?

  • Yes, those zouaves are Wheat's tigers if I recall correctly. I should know I re-enact with their association the American Civil War Society.

  • Well, they're trying to be. The stripes on their trousers are not wide enough, tigers didn't wear straw hats after they were issued their first official uniform. They only wore straw hats when they originally were mustered in new orleans.

  • Our reenacting group has a weight limit. 8)

  • I'm not even sure that can be called a charge. They went all of 20 feet and then fell back to their original positions.

  • That was cool

    Go South go!

  • nobody really knows for sure but it seems that the real rebel yell had three distinct parts, separated by short pauses, and sounded something like:

wah! (short, like a mad bark)

    hoooooo! (low, and long)

    eeeeeeeeeyyy! (high pitched and long)

when done repeatedly and simultaneous by hundreds of people, it sounds like a freaking overpowering wall of high pitched "yeeeyeeeeeyeee"s against a rolling backround of growls and barks. sometimes in the 1930s some guys did a simulation, google it.

  • that is so kick ass my th great grandfather was in the CSA army

  • Wish the damn Confederates won the war.
