  • I bet you if Ian and Billy could do it over they would have never fired the producer from the Love/Manors Sessions and would have continued in the same vein for at least another few records. Electric and Sonic Temple would never have happened and they would have held alot more respect from us true fans, I should throw ceremony in there with the trash that is the cult sellout period of Electric and beyond.

  • Manors Sessions versions are the best of all the songs in this time period. Not the slowed down, dumbed down, Cult ruining versions found on Electric. Rick Rubin-moron.

  • yeah!!!! shout to the heavens ian!!!

  • To be honest , it doesn't matter where it came from, it's a great song from a great band, and i'm glad it's on here!!

  • Sorry to break it to you folks, but this song is not a demo, it is from a 'live session' recorded for the Janice Long evening show on Radio 1 in the uk in 1986. Great fucking version anyway.

  • @Chuckiehestonsboy Thanks for pointing this out. My favorite version IS the demo, when the Love tour was winding down (from Demos box set). They slowed it down and had a tripped bass line. Awesome.

  • That version better,than official

  • DREAMTIME, Creative, Soulful, Beautiful, Unique . LOVE, Creative, Soulful, Beautiful, Unique . ELECTRIC, Total and utter wank and proof of how one man (The producer) can destroy such an original and great band, But sadly the Cult are to blame as well for letting him do his evil work on their great music. Should have been what got released , Not the Manor Sessions that got trashed, R.I.P To the original & best CULT, If only Nigel hadn't overdosed, He wasn't a great man, But he was agreat drummer

  • Funny thing is this song, Sanctuary, and Spirit Walker all sound like the same band.

  • This song and Zap City are great examples of their own and unique sound.

Long live rock and roll!! Long live The Cult!!

  • I remember having a cassette tape of a Pinkpop show of The Cult. They played this version and a couplke more from the pre-electric area.

  • @etkar73 like Electric Ocean - my fave version I've heard is Pink Pop, May ' 86.

  • I prefer this version. Really cool sound.

  • Man this is so cool cos i have not heard all of these demos...))) Shhweett knowledge!)))))) Great stuff! Happy as a lark!

I bought love and then them all! all The Cult's music!

I bought Electric at the same time GNR's appetite f d .. was on the market..mtv sure helped gnr..and they were good no doubt but I was like wtf? The Cult blows GNR off the map! But here in the states everyone was so over marketed by GNR......The Cult is one of my all time favorites though! Cheers!

  • Tank you. Very interesting!
