  • I'm rewatching this from the beginning in order to psych myself up for more of the sequel....and I gotta say, it's working. Still a fantastic production, I applaud all of you who worked on it. And the "ca-ta-clys-mo!" in the music always makes me smile.

  • pretty good but the music was kinda lame

  • agreed

  • Actually the music works very well with the overall corny storytelling. After all, that was the point. The creators did not try to make a serious sci-fi show, but a homage to the old serials of the 40s and 50s and that required an epic but for contemporary standards 'lame' music. They hit the cheese button perfectly and that is what makes this show work!

  • this is really well shot. I didn't really like the colored lens thing, but the camera angles are really well done for the most part.

  • bucky is wearing a 'RED SHIRT'.

  • Planet of the Apes

    --

    Damn those dirty apes!

  • what is this teletubiies-style overacting all about with webserial productions?? What is the target group? 9, 10, 11 year olds?

  • what do you expect off of a non-profit web show? shakespearian actors?

  • SO GOOD

  • Lol, love the flaming skull.

  • Haha, awesome.

  • dam dirty apes lol

is this on tv at any time

  • lol reminds me of planet of the apes, "damn dirty apes"

  • "I'm gonna go fry some victory!"

  • Nice series indeed!

  • Great! This should be on tv!

  • No, the TV should be in this.

  • LOLOLOL amazing!

  • I love it, I wish this was a show on TV, but I'll keep it on subscribe on YouTube, thanks for buggin' me about it, lol

  • coooooooooool

  • damned dirty apes indeed!!! Like it!

  • wats sad is the graphics look straight out of Scifi LOL, Shows how great Scifi budgets are ^_^ good work, cant wait to see the next one.

  • Groovy.

  • meh :I

  • OH YEAH!!!!!! SO COOL!!! I MET ALL OF YOU IN PERSON!!!!! See ya later bro!

  • *squeals*

    *head explodes*

Oh jealousy is a friend o' mine.

  • Good job! It reminded me a little of Battlestar Galactica...only with gorillas. :)

  • wat the hell it s kind funy

  • Oh that's funny and really well done. I'm off to see some more eps.

  • Awesome...

  • It would have been epic if they had all died except for the Chef.

  • lol,HUZZAH!!!!!!!!!!11

  • ehhhh.....

  • I liked it, a lot! The special effects were cool too :D I subscribed. Keep up the great work. Funny, cool editing, and just plain neat :D

  • very professionaly done!

  • Nice job :-D

  • the burning skull is such a great touch - hahah

  • lol random

  • the chef is a fag, otherwise pretty cool!

  • Quite cool :p

  • lol Kewl!

  • Amazing editing on the gun scene.. whats with the music? Lol. The camera man is also good as well. I think I'll watch the next episode and see how this series is.

  • very epic...and funny! lol

  • Can I just say that was one of the worst short movies I've ever seen. My attention was drifting after just one minute. Yawn!

  • Oh my gosh cheesy lol. So fun :-p. I bet that was so fun to film!

  • It was ok i suppose, the graphics were impressive for a fan-made fick. but i`m more into horror then sci-fi.

  • >_> you were right, good job

  • Checked it out love the first videos for both series but this one made me want to play vids so bad i had to go =o.

  • wow thats really good rated it 5/5

    great work

  • Hell yeah.

  • Everyone in this is a graduate of the William Shatner School of Acting...

  • yeeeah amazing fighting scene

  • wow nice work!

  • nice effects

  • got your message, thought i'd check it out

pretty good, but i'm sure that if lazer guns that small existed, so would armor to deflect it

I'll dicide to keep watching after the second episode

I like scifi stuff, Halo, C&C etc, If they had even vaugly hightech armor (like the halo marines) I would for sure watch it

  • yeah, similar to how atom bomb protection armor exists now, right?

  • It's called a fallout sheltor

  • lol, it's really interesting.

  • That was AMAZING! damn dirty apes...lol

  • that was awesome!

  • You are pretty good. This is funny.

  • no replace him with a ninja

  • I agree haha ^-^

  • Good except for the guy that wears red shirt, omit that cheesy guy he's not funny, the more serious action and tone is cooler, replace him with a really hot or attractive female that's more serious and ready to take on action.

  • female? action? wt...f ok im a girl and that just sounded sooo gay

  • That's because you wanna see a guy and not a girl right?

  • Well the red shirt guy's just way too feminine, and seeing a man and woman together's more interesting, but the name time boys is a boys thing anyways I suppose, if you like just seeing guys together guess it would be gay.

  • great

  • Love it. A more choregraphed battle-scene would be nice, but the effects, editing and directing were terrific. I would like more of a story about what they're fighting for, but I suppose that will be revealed in coming episodes...well, episodes I have yet to watch at least.

    5/5

  • And I would also like to mention that I liked the music. It may seem out of place to others, but to me, it gives a nice feel to episode.

  • Very impressive for a webseries! Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

  • Lots of good elements going on here, especially for a web series. I think the sax music during the battle was a little out of place though, and that more individual characters and plots could be introduced. More dialogue too, please!

  • yea, ok. I'll hang with you for a while and see what you can do. For me, using old spanish turn of the 20th century music for the heroic factor left me in the distant past rather than 500 years in the future. Key comments I remember the most. "What's the plan," "I'm a chef" and "Damn apes" quote from Planet of The Apes.

  • Makesagr8point: re: "using old spanish turn of the 20th century music for the heroic factor left me in the distant past rather than 500 years in the future"

-- dunno. Using whatever LOOKS & SOUNDS futuristic just now is the surest way to date one's material REAL quick: nothing gets old faster than out-of-date futurism! The past has proven itself. And it comes back.

  • I guess I was expecting a Star Wars epic sounding theme. To me, the Star Wars theme sounds as fresh today as the day it was presented AND it worked well for a thousand years in the future.

  • Makesagr8point: ...StarWars was set in the past: "A long time ago in a galaxy far far away..."

  • That's funny! You're right, it was a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. I think the time frame in that movie was based on the last episode? Are we arguing because I don't really care? lol!

  • Great video! The acting and special effects are remarkable. That Bucky boy sure is a cutie!

  • Nice. Bucky is really cute...

  • wow. Great special effects and sound effects.

  • That was cool. subscribing now.

  • i agree, great special effects! wish i had the money for some FX software to work with WMM

  • I like the "Bucky" character, but, like vonny100765, this isn't really a genre I'm into. Good production values...but...what's with the guys in the ape suits?

  • well.......don't no if it is my kind o thing like but i do like the cook oops i mean chef lol, i will continue to watch and see what happens

  • "damn dirty apes" haha This looks like a promising webseries. Good job.

  • cool that was pretty awsome!

  • haha, nice shout out to Planet of the Apes there. I liked it =D

  • It was visually pleasing (with the guns and lazers and those gorilla suits are pretty fierce -expensive?) but the writing left a lot to be desired. Don't blow your load too early-

ex: letting the audience know what the men were fighting for. You didn't get to a good enough set up before main guy said the punch line so it was sort of lost..(maybe if it was after the big pep talk then 'annoying chef' could've been "so...what are we fighting for?" and then so on.

  • good job, guys. the sidekick was kinda annoying, but the rest was very cool

  • nice

  • Nicely done!

  • i'll keep watching

  • i love it.. this is really entertaining and I can't wait for the next episode.. haha.. and I know the lead actor..

  • this is fun stuff! i cant wait to see the rest of em1

  • sweet efffects, and some good acting.

  • Amazing...i didn't know people could do this kind of stuff on such a small scale

  • I'm really excited for the next one on friday! ::hopes it'll be sweet::

  • thats pretty kool, got me excited for next scene

  • Ooh... fun! I love Bucky the Chef not cook! :) I really like the music, too. Very nice!

  • Ian, our composer, has been working around the clock on creating music for this series. I'll let him know you like it!

    Kevin

  • the effect are a bit overv done but i like the flaiming skull

  • hehe a bit spazmatic for you? the skull is my fav too.

  • spazmatic is close enough i guess XD

    Yay flaiming skull

  • Very entertaining and exciting...! Impressive effects too.

  • Cool! Nice one guys!

  • Bucky the 'chef' rules!

  • Awesome! We get to see more of him later on in future episodes, too so come back on Friday. :)

  • Pretty cool! I like it~!

  • Very good

  • For some reason, the intro reminded me of the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie. Those who watched it know what i mean. ;)

500 years in the future a radio will be stolen by monkey-like creatures? Seems more comedic than serious...and the fact you are trying to be serious makes it funnier.

  • I don't think that it's trying to be entirely serious. They do have "comedy" under the tags.

So I'd say your intuition that it's comedic is correct. Always listen to your intuition.

  • HAHAHA! I really enjoyed it! Thanks for the well done, fresh work! I look forward to seeing where these characters go. Excited!

  • Dude, I want to curse all over the place on how great that was! Bucky, the wanna be cheeky non side kick. The bad ass cappy! Great video man, all with smoke and mirrors eh? I like how it's starting to lick up steam around here! CONGRATS!

  • 'wanna be cheeky non side kick'... I think that's the best description I've heard for Bucky so far... :D

thanks a bunch, Mylo. I'm glad you liked it.

    Kevin

  • Damn dirty apes! Hehe love it.

  • I'm not quite sure what I think about this... I'll keep watching, but I don't know if it's for me... We'll see!

  • well thanks for watching! hopefully what is to come in this serial will be more to your liking...

    Kevin

  • <i>Nice.

  • thanks!

  • "I'm going to go fry up some victory." Loved it. BTW Excellent graphics and effect..but GORILLA suits? POTA ?

  • hehe.. you have, of course, discovered one of my major influences... the "Prevention Of Terrorism Act". I mean, Planet of the Apes. :)

besides, CG apes would cost too much in time and money. :P

  • I can offer you a good price on CG apes. Bid'em in, Bid'em in.

  • sorry, too late. We've already shot the film. :)

...but if I give you three bucks, do you think you could break even?

  • $3 bucks? What in computers cost 3 bucks. Best of luck with your film. I really thought that line by the cheif was hilarious.

  • sorry bad joke. but, let's see... three bucks... I bet you could buy a power button for that much.

you need the power button to turn on the computer, you know. it's worthless without it. :D

  • Exactly. haha. I don't want to go there. Can't turn on a computer for least than 3 bucks. So, you produced this out of pocket? what was the budget like? those were 3D jets in the beginning? What did you use?

  • I've got a version of Maya that I created the jets and their exhaust in.

We used after effects to composite the matte painting of the red clouds and fire/explosions/lasers because we didn't have the money for pyro insurance! hehe.

the budget: shoestring. literally. I sold one of 'em on e-bay and it managed to pay for everything. :D

  • Well, just sucessfully completing an endeavor like this on your own deserves an award. Congrats.

Nice job on the Maya work.

  • Ok hooked on 2 shows now!Gotta love Buckey every good show has that one annoying nerd lol.Good job guys.I'll be back for the rest.

    Jen

  • glad you liked it! I'm glad you find Bucky to be annoying but lovable. :D

  • Anthony and Kevin basically rock my socks off (and of course Nathan and David and Josh) Really nice way to start the show off with a bang guys! Two thumbs way up.

  • HUZZAH!!

  • I like it, especially Bucky Stallion!

  • Sweet! The evil Doctor approves!

  • Oh man! I wish there were more stars to give than five!!!

  • I love the end credits song! It's so catchy. Great work, guys.
