The Stone Roses were a great band in the 80s and early 90s. It wont be the same now! I hate seein good bands reform and make fools of themselves. Look at The Specials and The Sex Pistols. Again great in their day but useless tryin to re live it as old men. It just doesnt work. BE REMEMBERD AS THE GREAT BAND THAT YOU WERE!! They just spoil it!

Y'know Ian Brown can still do it because he's never stopped gigging (& still does the odd Roses number in his sets anyway), Mani's still got it with Primal Scream... Like IB said, it needs to be the 4 of 'em to work (you only gotta look at Reading 1996 to see thats true) & this time u have all 4... Ya gotta remember for all the young 'uns now, who found Stone Roses through Oasis or wotever, its a dream to see their hero's now

This news i've always wanted to hear, for me the Stone's have always had that special sound, they we're the first band i really got into in a big way, the very first band shirt i bought, i felt like i found my calling, Indie music was great at that time but these boys took it to the next level.i still remember listing to fools gold for the very first time it was an epic sound & even when i play now it does'nt seem dated .i'll be buying a ticket & hope to share it with fello Roses fans :D

I was never one of those who thought that the roses should reunify at any price ... their first baby was born in a summer of love, and it was the best brit album ever ... but then, am I afraid to meet the heroes of my past and to see they have changed, or do I care more about things like "stellify", "country girl" and that fuck??? I hope Primal Scream doesn't break ...
