I don't think any of these solutions I find on the Internet really help that much.. I got the error HOWEVER IT CAME BACK ON by it self and I could logging again after 2 hours or so. ALL I DID WAS TURN OFF ALLY DEVICES .. AND ON MY PS3 RESET MY NETWORK SETTINGS. configured them again. I think it's a psn error and not your router's fault.

@rencas it's a DNS error, there is no way it could be a problem with PSN (unless it's just plain and simple reporting the wrong error). DNS stands for Dynamic Naming Server, which is the server that converts IP's to addresses that humans can easily understand,

if your PS3 cannot connect to a DNS it means that it can't connect to the server that routs it's connection TO the PSN, therefore the problem isn't the PSN but the fact that it cannot reach the PSN (or any other IP address)

@kool115 hey, the code is normally on the side of your router. not the code down and re-enter it again in your ps3. make sure the numbers and letters are not mixed up like zero's and O's (0 O) and enter all the letters in CAPITALS. :)

Though this error is very annoying (and very persistant I may add) I still love my PS3 and its games like uncharted 2, Infamous, The ratchet and clank series and LBP. However due to things like this I do have to give a point to Xbox Live, at least they don't have problems like this (and if they do its most likely a server problem or a bad connection).

Well, one of these worked for me. I have had a PS3 since christmas and have used PSN with no problems then today I MAGICALLY GET ERRORS AND CAN'T GET ON. BULLSHIT. Maybe it was my ISP... I don't know what it was. The 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 one worked for me. I tried one of them that showed up on the official playstation forums, after resetting the router it worked but then it stopped working. and some of the other dns ones I tried on this video like 4.4.4.1 would work then I'd get signed out

this is what i just did ten minutes ago and it worked..for how long idk. step1.on your ps3 go to system settings and restore defualt settings..when u get to the part where it asks u to do your internet connection settings u press circle and go back to do it later.2.turn your ps3 off.3.press and hold the routers reset button for atleast 30 seconds.step4 go back and turn your ps3 on.step5.go to your network settings and disable media server.step six and final step.go to easy setup and .thats it
