OK. Someone explain the role of the AA (anesthesiologist assistant) please. I'm looking for videos but can't find any. I know that they work under the supervision of the anesthesiologist: administering drugs, monitoring the airways and such. I would just like to see them in action....thinking of a career change from respiratory therapist to AA. Thanks a lot.
BIS is 98?wohh...thats the BIS of a guy who took a 50 ml of beer....lolz....d*mn!patient is somewhat fully awake..normal BIS for a fully sedated patient is about 40-60 only....and a fully awake and responsive normal individual is 100...
but the result is right,patient is awake because there is no anesthesia given,only rocuronium, a muscle relaxant which paralyses the patient...wahahha..great operation!see you on court!patient may have a postoperative traumatic syndrome!wahahah.....

This is sooo funny! I just finished my ADN and am looking towards becoming a CRNA and this made me laugh so much even though it was a different field. AWESOME JOB!
I wish I can do this, but I'm much more scared of the MCATS than actual medical school, being that I have a great memory.

CRNA means certified registered nurse anesthetist. they make around 180,000 a year.... whereas anesthesiologists make close to double that.

CRNA does the same job for $75-100 per hr and its only 6yrs of school.
5959512 2 years ago
No, they don't. Back to school for you methinks.

@5959512
Anesthesiologists are physicians. CRNAs are nurses. Let that sink in. The differences are quite vast.
