I agree completly. He is very skilled and is truly one of the greatest players. His problem is hockey is a contact sport as much as he clearly doesn't want it to be. He is incapable of taking a hit. This is obvious every time he plays ( when his head doesn't hurt from a year long concussion that he is milking) He is fun to watch in practice, during a game he is a joke!

When they see him faking injuries and complaining excessively, that's how the rest of the game gets viewed. By being a little baby about things, Crosby is bringing down the league as a whole. Look up soccer on youtube and you'll find a ton of diving and faking videos. I don't want the NHL to be disrespected as such.

You look him up and see him slew-footing people, complaining over small things, and faking injuries. Your view of hockey is going to be tainted in some way because as the representative of the league, he's doing things consistently. Any way you slice it, his actions negatively impact the league when he does that.

For hockey, you need ice, you need skates, sticks, and a goalie needs even more, thus the game isn't exposed to as many people. Thus, people in Africa can play soccer easily, and can't play hockey at all due to no ice. But that's an entirely different argument.

They'll often say how often people fake injuries, and laugh. People not exposed to it pretty commonly mock the sport of soccer due to the frequency of fakes. I don't know about you, but since I love ice hockey, I don't want people to laugh when they think of it. I want them to be inspired, or in awe.
