Lol, I have braces for already 3 months now. Not the most pleasant experience but at least my teeth got straight. It always hearts to chew when they tighten it...for the first days I actually only ate soft things. The worst part is actually when the inside of your mouth gets cut ...it hurts a lot! Don't know if you have ever experienced that. Anyway, thanks for the tips I actually didn't know some stuff even though I got ones for a while :P

@LittleMissSonja Don't worry about it! I got mine on in 3rd grade, and then again in 6th. I'm in 9th now. They hurt for a day or two after you get them on/tightened.  But, it isn't like pain. It's more like an ache. If you have ever had sore muscles from running the day before, that is what it feels like, but in your gums. Use it as an excuse to get lots of milkshakes and icecream!! Thats what I did!:)
