  • Stop protesting it will only hurt your country right now. America wants you to fight each other from within, you are playing their game. You need to show a strong front or america and israel will invade you. after you have nukes as a detterent then demonstrate not now!

  • what is a tehran?

    Michael jackson RIP

  • They should protest against Islam in a first place. This would resolve this issue.

  • The American Paradox

Stay uninvolved in affairs of other nations and the people look up to you

Get involved and they hate you.

  • We need to see Canadian students on the streets too!!! Harper is not dealing with climate change and will be burdening the youth of Canada with the cost of droughts, famines and increasing storms! FUCK THE OIL SANDS

  • Still drinking Al Gore's kool-aid?

  • shut the hell up.

  • Because the people who run the country are not as fucking retarded as you are luckily.

  • These protests are against the Basij ("secret police" of Iran), the illegally elected president, and the head honcho the ayatollah.

good luck to the students in overturning scumbags

    "LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP"

  • Good luck indeed. The students definitely have their work cut out for them but they have been vigilant in the past. Hopefully they can change that country for the better.

  • congratulations, you have just won the award for most misinformed comment ever!

  • WHATS This all about ?

  • these r not students, they r basiji that came together from around tehran.

  • Death to your ass, satan!

  • A fate worse than death for Iran.

  • Your ass hurts that much ?

  • A fate worse than a fate worse than death.

  • Well, because they're doing everything that these people did in 1979 - singing the same songs - celebrating the same holidays - shouting the same slogans. Nothing new. It seems that they don't want that much change after all. Yes, I read Farsi but I didn't see that part. You have no respect for other peoples faith? Well, that's too bad! That's really nothing to proud of! That's a big shortcoming! I think one should always respect other's faith, even if one doesn't agree with it.

  • I have no respect for any religion, thats different from not respecting the people! - I don't think it is disrespectful to be an atheist - i have extra respect who stand against dictatorship.

using the same slogans and holidays is the smartest weapon they have since regime doesn't allow any peaceful gathering - and the fact is that Iranians have been asking the same thing since "mashrooteh" - to get rid of the dictatorship, that wish hasn't become reality yet.

  • So then one could say that you respect Muslims but not their beliefs. You just respect the people but not their beliefs. That would mean that it's ok for you to disrespect their beliefs, and I don't think that is a good thing. I think one should respect the beliefs of people, as long as they do not do any harm to others.

Iranians as a nation will get what they deserve - if they haven't received the freedom they desire, then maybe they haven't deserved it.

  • I think YOU sound funny. You say that you don't respect any religion. Ok, so that means you don't respect Islam. Then you say that you respect Muslims, - so basically I draw the conclusion that you respect the people who believe in Islam, but not their beliefs, since their beliefs=Islam. Are you following me? You can not separate "beliefs" and "Islam" in this case, since the beliefs of Muslims is Islam. And I'm saying that I think it's a good thing to respect the beliefs of others.

  • Continued. I for example may not believe in Bahaism or Atheism, and I don't, but I respect bahaism and Atheism, as they are the beliefs of others. So I do not only respect Bahais and Atheists as people, but I also respect their beliefs, even if I don't agree with them.

  • I think you and I are having a war of semantics here. When you say "I don't respect religions", I take that as the same thing as if you would say "I disrespect religion", and obviously that is not what you mean.

  • It's as if you'd say "I don't like apples", from that statement I would conclude that you dislike apples.

    "I don't like apples = I dislike apples"

    I don't respect religions = I disrespect religions"

  • yes - i don't respect religions is equal to I disrespect religions!

I don't resoect religions does NOT mean I disrepect people who believe in religion

  • Why do you keep removing your comments? Anyway I read them. I don't think you should call me stupid, because what I'm saying makes perfect sense. I think you're a little confused in your use of semantics. Basically what you're saying in your LAST comment now is that you respect people but not their beliefs. (People in this case are Muslims) So we're basically back to square one. Why don't you just forget about it! I don't have time for this. Bye!

  • @tubesrw I removed it because i called you stupid and that was rude!

i have no respect for religion might mean I disrespect religion but it definitely does not mean I disrespect people who believe in religion!

i agree no one should waste time over arguments like this - good luck
