This was an amazing performance. Very clearly played and the piece itself was engaging. I just couldn't help laughing at how all the ladies are playing the larger, deeper instruments while the gentleman is playing the smaller, higher pitched one.
thanks for posting! this is just wonderful. Would like to know about Giles Farnaby, and whether this piece was originally written for this type of ensemble.
I think most of Farnaby's surviving music was written for the virginal (small harpsichord), but it's often successfully arranged for brass band, recorders, viol consort, etc., probably back then as well as today.

They are also excellent singers, as we can see in their other videos.
As for the recorder playing : blended, rich and cool sound even in virtuoso passages, that is extreme mastership !
